Cozy restored 3 bed Victorian cottage near beach
Cozy modernised Victorian cottage near to Ventnor town and beach
OPEN ALL YEAR Trehafod is a pretty and cosy early Victorian Cottage in the centre of Ventnor and completely modernised, sleeping 6 people comfortably, plus a cot if required. There are two double bedrooms and a room with two full-size bunk beds. The front double has a queen-sized pocket sprung bed and there is a double-sized bed in the second double room. There is a large family bathroom with large shower, basin and toilet, and a downstairs toilet with small washbasin and mirror. Downstairs there is a comfortable living room, leading to the dining room with a rustic oak table and benches and a newly fitted and well equipped kitchen. The large garden has a large raised deck with table and chairs for al fresco dining. At the side of the cottage is a useful shed that lends itself perfectly to storage of pushchairs, bicycles, kayaks and surfboards. There is no parking at the property, however there are two car parks and free roadside parking which is less than 5 minutes walk away. Buses run every half hour through the day from a bus stop moments from the cottage (outside Boots in the High Street) and hourly through the night. We regret that, due to the steepness of Tulse Hill and the roads around Ventnor, the property is not suitable for the infirm. Trehafod is in the centre of the lovely seaside town of Ventnor. Moments from the high street, it is a short walk to Ventnor's restaurants, pubs and coffee shops, as well as the beach and the Esplanade. The pretty villages of Bonchurch, Niton and Shanklin are also close by. Ventnor golf course is less than 1.5 miles away, with the most stunning views across glorious countryside to the sea. Only a short drive away is Queen Victoria's beloved home Osborne House, the historic Carisbrooke Castle, Yarmouth Castle as well as family attractions like Blackgang Chine and the Donkey Sanctuary. The wilder beaches to the west offer diving, paragliding, surfing and kayaking. For walkers, there are over 500 miles of very well signposted footpaths on the Island, more per square mile than any other English county! It is not far to The Needles and Alum Bay, Tennyson Down, Newtown Nature Reserve and much more. Yarmouth and Cowes are no more than 30 minutes by car, for those who love their sailing.
