L'Ecurie

Burgundy Villas presents "L'Ecurie" an authentic property situated in the heart of Frances Burgundy countryside. L’Ecurie is a beautiful converted barn with lots of character providing a lovely home which comfortably sleeps 8-10. It is a great house to entertain and has plenty of space for large families/ groups. The kitchen is open plan with the dining area and is equipped to cater for all the houses if they are rented together. The kitchen has a feature antique bar area where people can sit and drink and talk to the chefs whilst they cook your dinner. There is a large dinning area that seats up to 14 comfortably with a grand piano and large fireplace. The room has an interesting arched window which dates back to the 17th century which was used, with a stone slab sink, for washing and drying cheese. It has now been glazed and overlooks the back garden terrace. Directly off the dining room is the salon. It is a great entertaining space with under floor heating and a wood burning stove for those colder months. There is a large flat screen TV and bluetooth sound bar with a large selection of games and puzzles. Arched doors lead out onto a large terrace with an outdoor seating area and BBQ. On clear nights it is a great place to gaze at the stars and sit drinking Burgundian wine. There is one double bedroom on the ground floor with it’s own shower room and toilet. On the first floor there are a further 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has high ceilings with original oak beams and is a beautiful room to stay in. It has a Superking bed and balcony with table & chairs overlooking the valley. Perfect for a relaxing breakfast. It has its own bathroom with a deep bath, large shower and features local limestone tiling on the floor and walls. The room also has a large dressing area with a large wardrobe.The third bedroom has twin beds and the fourth bedroom offers twin beds or a double bed. You’ll have private use of the garden on two sides of the house, one leading from the salon onto the terrace and the other from the kitchen with further seating. For the summer months the swimming pool is shared with Pickwicks Cottage and the Farmhouse. It is set away from all the houses (100 metres) and therefore provides privacy for guests. The pool is regularly maintained, cleaned and has an efficient heating system regulating the temperature. The pool house has changing rooms and an undercover eating area. There is also a WC, shower, changing area and a line for drying wet towels and bathing costumes. Poolside furniture is provided. Prices include all charges, heating the pool, bed linen (beds made up) and towels (not swimming towels)
