The town is part of the Crete Senesi area, which is named after the light earth there. In 1996 the family, who fell in love with the Etruscan origins, the medieval mill and the peace and tranquillity of the area, decided to move and live here. The whole family has since been involved in running the agricultural enterprise and managing the holiday apartments. It is just 4km to the Rapolano thermal baths. The main building is an old mill dating back to 1356. It was restored in 1996, 2001 and 2007. The other buildings were also renovated in 1999, 2003 and 2013 and are now available as holiday apartments, with a successful combination of tradition and modernity. The apartments are equipped with Internet access, satellite TV and some with air conditioning, others with fans. Fruit, vegetables, truffles and olive oil are cultivated organically on the estate. Pets are allowed. The 5000m² site is fenced. Eight parking spaces are available, under pine trees, about 50 metres from the apartments. Four apartments even have a private section of garden, and all guests can relax in the rest of the garden, or cool off in the shared pool, then enjoy sunbathing on the loungers provided. There is a playground for children. Dogs should be kept on the leash by the pool. . A varied programme is offered to guests, so you can discover the colours and fragrances of the Crete Senesi landscape during your stay. You can take part in wine tasting and cookery courses, or hire a bicycle locally and go on a guided cycle tour with Alessandro. The thermal baths in nearby Rapolano are also open in the evenings and grants special discounts to guests on the country estate. The nearest shopping facilities are about 1.5km away. Holiday apartment in the main house, for two people This 60m² charming apartment is on the first floor of the main building and can accommodate two people. The bedroom has a double bed 8180 x 200cm). The apartment has heating and a portable fan. The spacious living room-kitchen has a comfortable sofa and a round table with chairs, where you can dine or plan your activities together for the next day. The kitchen unit is equipped with a gas stove, mini oven, fridge, kettle, toaster and crockery. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and hairdryer.
