The Old Dairy (Near Bradford-on-Avon)

The Old Dairy is a newly converted former dairy situated in the yard of our 500 year old farmhouse in the beautiful village of South Wraxall which lies on the southern edge of the Cotswolds. We are just 5 miles from the City of Bath and 2 miles from the beautiful Saxon town of Bradford-on-Avon. Situated in the heart of the countryside The Old Dairy gives peace and tranquillity in a quintessentially English village with beautiful country side on the doorstep. We recently converted The Dairy from an old milking parlour and dairy into a luxurious cottage. It is cosy and warm in winter with its underfloor heating and log burner. In the summer the double doors can be opened up onto the patio to enjoy the outdoor space. The accommodation is all on one level with a well equipped kitchen with a range cooker, dishwasher, washer dryer etc. There are two bedrooms, a king with an en-suite bathroom with the added luxury of a TV and automatic low level lighting and twin bedded room that can be made up into a super king. There is also a separate shower room. The Dairy has free wifi, a hifi with bluetooth pairing and a selection of interesting books, DVD's and games for you to use. Guests have the whole building to themselves. The double doors open out onto a private enclosed garden with a patio and lawn, ideal for enjoying the sun and relaxing. There is an outside table and chairs and a BBQ which is available during the summer. The parking space is along side the Dairy and there is room for two cars. We live in the farm house adjacent to The Old Dairy so are on hand to welcome you and give advice etc. If we are not at home during your visit we will make sure that you are given all the necessary info regarding access/keys etc in our absence. The village of South Wraxall is a charming English country village with a lovely 14 century church, Cotswold stone houses and great country walks. We have a fantastic award winning local pub, The Longs Arms, rated in the top 50 Gastropubs 2017. There is plenty to do in the local area, from walking, biking playing golf or riding or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of country living. Public transport from South Wraxall is minimal therefore a car is essential. We do allow well behaved dogs by prior arrangement. We ask that they are not allowed on the beds or furniture and that they are crated if you are intending to leave them in the property unattended for short periods.
