WINDBRAKE HOUSE

Windbrake House is located in the charming village of Alverstoke, Gosport, close to Portsmouth with Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard. It is within metres of Stokes Bay enjoying some views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight. A large beautiful house built in 1936 with links to the Mulberry Harbours, Operation Overlord and the D-day landings. This house sleeps up to 14 (using two put up beds) and is just off the beach at Stokes Bay. It has a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining room that's a perfect space for gathering a reunion of friends or extended family. Bedrooms: 6 bedrooms all with either en-suite or private bathrooms- two with roll-top baths and one with a large modern bath for two! Two beds are huge and three are kingsize (5ft). One bedroom can be made into twin beds. Sea views from three of the bedrooms. Bedroom 6 has a double bed & a put up bed can be made up to sleep 3 children (& we also have a put up bed for use in another bedroom) and would share a bathroom with one bedroom. The lounge has a log burning cassette and a large 50" flat-screen smart TV. Free off-road parking for six cars. The property has a south facing garden with sofa style seating for a summer's day/evening with a side gate and access to the neighbouring park and the seafront. Facilities: The large dining table in the kitchen area seats up to 12 people with a kitchen bar and four stools for extras.. The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 ovens, a microwave and dishwasher and all the usual kitchen gadgets as well as crockery and serving dishes for large group meals. Please note that this is our family home, so there will be a certain amount of personal possessions around.
