This the reason why one of the novels I published is set in the Aeolian Islands. The protagonist takes a tour of the island accompanied by a beautiful local girl who makes him visit wonderful places such as Quattrocchi, Il Semaforo, the belvedere in front of Salina and many others … To visit all these beautiful places, you can rent a scooter and do a tour of the island. I recommend to do it around 18:00, in order to enjoy the sunset from the west coast of Lipari. All the places I mentioned are nice to watch the sea swallowing the sun, but probably the "semaforo" or Quattropani old Church (the Santuario) are the best ones the first because of the landscape, the second because of its religious atmosphere. You can have a nice dinner at the "Tramonto restaurant" in Acquacalda and enjoy the sunset among Lipari, Salina and Filicudi.
