The Hamlet of Arkleby is a rural village, situated between the A595 and A596, convenient for the market town of Cockermouth and for the Solway Coastline. Grooms Cottage is the old barn of the main house. It is adjacent to the main house and second cottage but separate and private. See 10879927 and 10879930. The living accommodation is upstairs (open plan wooden stairs) - to give you spectacular views across the Solway. The double and twin bedrooms are on the ground level along with the bathroom. The bathroom has a walk in shower (step down) and a washing machine - no bath. The garden space is around the back of the cottage - garden furniture is provided. The double bedroom has patio doors opening to the garden and upstairs there are patio doors to a small balcony and stairs to the garden. NB: Unfenced pond, 150 yards.
