The 6 bedroom, 300 year old farmhouse is set in a small hamlet 3km from the quaint market town of Carrouges in the Normandy Orne region. The property is situated amidst beautiful rolling countryside offering a total get away from it all holiday. The Farmhouse (10) & Gables (3) sleeps 13 in total. Offering the typical traditional charm & character of the region with contemporary, comfortable living. Setting our beautiful property apart, is the fabulous heated swimming pool (10m x 5m x 1.5m) for you to just relax by, or work off all those gorgeous cakes, tasty bread and French wine! The pool is open between the months of May and September. For History enthusiasts there are plenty of tourist sites to visit; the D-Day landings are just under an hour away by car in Caen with the Bayeux tapestry the same distance again. Within 20 minutes, is the renowned Falaise Pocket Museum and the Château Guillaume- the-Conqueror, the birth place of William the Conqueror. For motor enthusiasts the circuit of Le Mans is just 50 minutes way.The motor museum is an absolute must to see and when there is no racing on, why not take a drive down the Mulsanne Straight. For horse lovers the Haras du Pin National Stud is just 35 minutes away, guided tours of the stud and unmissable events throughout the year. If it's exercise that you want there are numerous places to walk in the surrounding picturesque countryside and it has great safe cycling roads for those wishing to go further afield; the Tour de France came past our road on it's way through to Carrouges in 2015. These are just a few examples of what there is to do in our region with lots, lots more to see and do.
