Summary: Dating back to 1723, this stone built detached cottage looks out towards the Staithes Beck. Gulp up the beautiful beck, a log burning stove, wooden clad Scandi inspired bathroom and the roll top bath. Cowbar View Cottage sits over three floors and offers accommodation for up to six people (two doubles and two singles). The cottage is perfect for families or couples. Dogs are welcome. The Space: There is a very special kind of ambiance surrounding Cowbar View Cottage. It could be the glorious setting looking out towards the Beck or perhaps the warmth of character of this immaculately restored period property. The cottage offers accommodation for up to six people and is perfectly positioned for exploring the beautiful coast and country of North Yorkshire. Guests can look forward to luxurious scandi inspired wooden clad shower room, underfloor heating, roll top free standing bath, a well equipped kitchen, a Queen sized bed bed and free WI-FI. The cosy sitting room come dining area comes complete with an ESSE wood burning stove (the kitchen also has a SMEG oven). There is also central heating in the property. The four bedrooms (two doubles and two singles) are well appointed with pretty furnishing detail and good quality beds and hotel standard bed linen. In the summer months catch the afternoon sun on the paved area outside the cottage. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer in the out house. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full property and full details are provided before your arrival. The Neighborhood: The cottage is set in an excellent location in the heart of the village of Staithes. Staithes is a quiet and friendly community. There is plenty to do in and around Staithes- rockpooling, walking along the coast, fossil hunting, illusion trails (look out for the one next to the cottage). The pubs, cafes and restaurants all provide good food. Staithes is a short drive to Runswick, Whitby and surrounding areas. Other Things to Note: Dogs are welcome! Due to the nature of Staithes' location, mobile phone signal can be intermittent depending on your mobile phone service provider. Wi-Fi is however provided. Interaction with Guests: We can be around as often or as little as you like. We own the sweet shop in the village, Betsy and Bo, and it is here the keys for the cottage can be collected.
