This is a unique peaceful situation in a part where the Mediterranean Sea is still preserved from urbanization. You will be at the same distance from the sea and the mountains of France and Spain. The village is located in the Côte Vermeille, Cerbère, in the Albères Natural Park and the Cerbère-Banylus Natural Marine Park which are only 4 km away from the Spanish Costa Brava. Come and visit our lovely region where there are many hiking and mountain bike trails with breathtaking views, where you can sail along the Côte Vermeille and the Costa Brava. Enjoy the little yellow train, scuba-diving in the reserve, and the outstanding natural sites. From June to September, you can swim or kayak in the intimate coves far from the overcrowded beaches. The main cities and villages to visit are Collioure, Port Vendres, Banyuls, and Cerbère, as well as 5 of the most beautiful villages of France: Villefranche-de-Conflent (World Heritage Site), Castelnou, Mosset and Evol. The Spanish ones are Besalu, Olot, Girona, Vic, and Barcelona of course (we can give you some recommendations to ease the spendings and so you can enjoy your journey.) We will be glad to receive you and give you some tips. Refer to our website. The brand new 45sqm apartment allows you to admire the sea from the bedroom, the kitchen, and the living-room. The air-conditioned apartment has a 20sqm terrace with a panoramic view over the sea, the vines, and the Canadells Islands. There is an indoor parking space at the foot of the apartment. The first cove is just 250 m away by foot; Cerbères beach and the shops are only 5 minutes away. There is a 22sqm kitchen opening onto a living-room with a sofa bed for two persons. You can store your suitcases, shopping bags, or souvenirs, as well as any other cumbersome objects (diving cylinders, fishing rods, and beach materials) in the large storage space under the staircase. The bedroom has a double-bed and a window that opens onto the sea as well as a storage space with shelves and a clothes rail. The shower-room with cubicle has a towel dryer and one separate toilet. Equipment: 20 inches flat screen TV with remote control in the living-room; fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, washing-machine, espresso coffee-machine (with capsules) in the kitchen; mirror, electric towel rail, walk-in shower and a flexible hand shower in the bathroom. N.B. The house is neither near the railway station nor close to the tracks but 450 m below the mountain. We do not hear nor see any trains! For train or air plane travellers (via Perpignan or Girona airports), we can pick you up from the Cerbère railway station and take you back at the end of your stay.
