Camp beside a beautiful little pond...lovely!!!

It's beside a pond engineered and built by industrious beavers which brings all kinds of wildlife to the area. In the spring, with the snow melt, the pond is full and over-flowing. In the early summer, while the water level is still high and fresh, it's a swimming hole. Later in the summer, the water level drops and the lilies bloom. This is really a beautiful pond ecosystem. This spot in the Maine woods is close enough to be on the road in seconds, yet far enough away to feel real privacy. The site is on a 130-acre lot of land with plenty of woods roads to wander. Guests have full access to the designated camping area The road down to the campsite is navigable by car or pick-up. However, there are a few spots where the center of the road is a little high and a low clearance car will scrub the bottom unless you drive with one wheel near the crown (high center).
