Diving in Attersee: The Attersee is the largest body of water in Austria with a surface of 48 m² and a length of over 19 km. It is the heart and thus center of diving sports in the Salzkammergut. The Attersee offers the best conditions year round with visibility of up to 25 meters. Even daylight during the summer can give you visibility reaching to 30 meters where the visibility is normally only 5-10 meters. From the summer to late fall, you can find lush plants on the shores – here you can see swarms of young fish and pike. The Attersee is not really full of fish, but sometimes you will see burbot, eel, perch, bleak, roach, tench, trout and samlet.
