A beautiful house with wonderful far reaching views to the pinewoods and sea from the upper floors. Seawood House is a stunning double fronted period house. Set over four floors, the house accommodates eight people, and will appeal to families - especially those who like to enjoy their own space - and couples or friends wanting a fabulous holiday house with contemporary interiors in a superb location. As you enter the house from the front door, you know you've come to stay somewhere a bit different and rather special. On the ground floor there is a spacious dining room, a sophisticated snug/sitting room (spot the Moomin lamp!), a well-equipped kitchen and downstairs shower room. From the kitchen, steps (mind your head!) lead down to a great basement conversion, softly lit by natural light from the light wells at the front of the house. Here there's a television room as well as a games room with ping pong table to keep everyone entertained. On the first floor there are three bedrooms (king-size, twin, and bunk) and a family bathroom. The striking top floor bedroom has a 'loft living' look and one of the best views in the house. Please note: All the stairs in the house are on the steep side, so might not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Outside there is a courtyard garden, and an out-house with washer/dryer. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Step outside the front door, and you are only a few minutes' walk from the centre of this ever popular seaside town, with its bustling quayside, independent shops, cafes and gastro pubs. There is something here for everyone, at any time of year and whatever your age, and once you've discovered this super house you will want to return again and again. Ground Floor: Dining hall With window shutters, dining table and bench seating. There is plenty of room here for everyone. Snug A sunny room, again with window shutters, with comfy leather sofa and two armchairs. Kitchen A cosy room, but equipped with everything you need. There is an electric cooker with extractor over, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a breakfast bar with stools. A door leads out in to the courtyard garden. Shower room With shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. From the Kitchen stairs with handrail, and low ceiling at one point (please mind your head!), lead down to Lower Ground Floor: Television and games room The television room has L-shaped leather seating and a widescreen Smart television and DVD player. Through into the games room there is a ping pong table - fun for all ages! First Floor: King-size bedroom To the front of the house, with a modern four poster bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe cupboard. Further clothes hanging available on decorative wall knobs. Twin bedroom Also at the front of the house, with two 2'6" singles. There are two storage cupboards, one with shelving, the other with hanging space. Further hanging space on decorative knobs on the wall. Bunk room Full-size bunk beds, chest of drawers, hooks behind the door and a superb view. Bathroom With bath and hand-held shower attachment, wash basin and WC. Second Floor: King-size bedroom Although you are essentially in the loft there is no height restriction to the room. There is a modern hanging rail, Ottaman storage desk and chaise longue, so you can soak up that wonderful, open view across to the sea. Outside: There is an enclosed, courtyard garden with table, chairs and barbecue. An out-house in the courtyard houses a washer/dryer. A private parking space is available for one to two cars on Chapel Yard, a two minute walk away. Roadside parking is also available close by and you should be able to find spaces during quieter times of the year. There are double yellow lines immediately outside the house. There is a council car park two minutes' walk away; a weekly parking permit is available for £28 (price correct at time of writing) that can also be used in many council car parks along the coast. The Coasthopper bus service (Kings Lynn-Cromer-Kings Lynn) runs regularly throughout the year, with stops on Freeman Street and The Buttlands, so you could leave your car behind for the day if you want to explore coastal resorts beyond Wells. Additional Information Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). All the stairs in the house are on the steep side, so might not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
