Cosy cottage full of character due to its age. It is set in a wooded area with a babbling brook at the rear. Very quirky, as no wall or floor is straight. A secluded walled garden, with seats, cushions and a table to sit out on a barmy clear night. You can hear the babbling brook that runs along the back of the house. There is a balcony which stretches over the stream. Free wireless broadband throughout the property. Two double comfy beds in the bedrooms. (If 2 people stay and require both bedrooms there is an additional charge of £15 to cover the laundry fee and cleaning if the extra room. We find this to be the fairest way so we don't charge 2 people sharing one bed the full price.) Hairdryers supplied in each bedroom. Kitchen well equipped and a dining room which sits 4 comfortably. THERE IS A CHARGE OF £5 TO USE THE WASHING MACHINE inc detergent. This charge we feel to be the fairest way, as most people don't wish to wash clothes, so to increase the overall cost may penalise some guests. Bathroom has shower NO bath. Towels supplied. Cot & bedding available on request - charge of £12 includes linen and towel. Ducks pass the house at least once a day and love being fed either bread or dry cereal. The area is within greater Manchester and is within a short walking distance of supermarkets and a direct bus route to the city which operates all night. There is a train station within a 10 minute walk. Walking distance from a hideaway public house which serves good home made food and excellent beer called The Vale Cottage. (Check if open when you wish to go) The Lord Nelson is just across the main road. Debdale Sports park with lots of entertainment situated further up the road with boating lake and petting pet’s corner. Peak District is within a 15 minute drive. M60 motorway (junction 24) is a mile up the road (A57) which connects to the vast motorway networks.
