Sea view home perched above scenic Lowell's Cove on Orr's Island, ME. Light, airy rooms offer beautiful views of the cove, gardens, and woods. Large deck for sunsets or relaxing, and a screened porch for dining or a cool nap on a swing. Beach and water access for swimming, boating, or rental excursions. Nearby seafood, sweet shop, gifts, and walking trails. Peaceful, friendly area. Two double occupancy bedrooms with a shared bath upstairs and another queen sized bedroom and adjacent full bath downstairs. A single bed and an inflatable single mattress are available for common spaces upstairs, and an atrium room with a single sofa bed is available on the first floor. Fully equipped kitchen, dining areas, living room, screened porch and large deck are available for guest use. This is my primary residence, so personal belongings are present in the house, but closet space, dressers, and linens are provided. Full use of the house and yard are available. There is driveway parking (4 cars) on site, but no use of garage space without permission of owner. Owner will greet guests and/or provide a key and instructions for the house. This is a friendly coastal cove with swimming, kayaking, and walking trails nearby. Restaurants, a sweet shop, and boat rentals or excursions are just a mile away at the bridge between Orr’s and Bailey Islands. Brunswick(14 miles inland) has shopping, hospitals, excellent restaurants, Bowdoin College, and cultural offerings. Portland is about an hour from the islands, and Popham Beach or Reid State Parks are about 45 minutes north of Harpswell. Driving is best for getting around on Rt. 24 or 123 in Harpswell. There are 8 hiking trails in town, and many scenic places to walk, but the main roads do not have safe bike paths. The Mountain Road connects the two peninsulas of Harpswell. An indoor/outdoor independent cat lives on the property (when not rented), but she usually avoids strangers and finds shelter in the garage. Due to Covid 19 health and safety concerns, CDC cleaning procedures will be followed, and there may be restrictions on travel to Maine and/or quarantine orders when arriving. Short term rental availability is subject to state and local permission.
