This charming Old Dairy Cottage has been gently refurbished to high living standards. The interior as well as the exterior combine traditional elements with modern ones in a tasteful fashion. The old stone walls have been freshly limed and the wood flooring as well as stone tiles combined with the high ceilings reflect the charm of this historic building and result in a clean climate and cosy atmosphere. In the barrier free ground floor you will find: sheltered south-east patio for sunny breakfasts with a view onto an old stone fountain and beautiful flowers, further you will find a spacious entry hall with stoned walls, french windows providing charming views, a large living room boasting oak flooring, a delightful fireplace, wooden furniture, a book shelf containing also many guide books of the region, games collection, TV + Amazon Prime, internet, telephone, further you will find the open plan well equipped customized new kitchen and the long old wooden farmers dinner table. The spacious modernized bathroom provides daylight and boasts a barrier free shower cabin, a bath tub, as well as a washing machine and a dryer. Wooden stairs lead you to the top floor into the large gallery with a further TV, bed couch and chairs, as well as the 2 delightful bedrooms, one with a view to the Schwarzwald, the other with a view onto the vineyards. A large west facing balcony provides views to stunning sun settings across the Vogesen in France. All windows have modern light, sight and insect protection. From the beds you can enjoy splendid views on the stars at a cloudless night. Floor heating downstairs, radiators upstairs. Recessed lightings with dimmer control in all rooms. This house has been reconfigured to the highest standards and is meant predominantly for our valued friends and relatives, only when free will we offer it to other guests so kindly observe availability in the calendar. Nobody else is living in the house. The garage as well as a further parking space can be booked at a surcharge upon request and subject to availability. Bikes/skiers etc can be locked up in a separate adjoining shed free of charge. During your stay your host and/or the friendly neighbours can provide you with assistance and recommendations but only if you want. Otherwise you will find peace and tranquillity. The use of the washing machine and dryer are included. also the dry wood delivered to the doorstep for the fireplace is included in the price. Your host can assist you with recommendations and reservations for restaurants. As young nature lovers we can recommend to you many hiking tours. For your dinner at home you have access to the herbal garden. The Neighbourhood: Pure peaceful nature, meadows, vineyards, forests and hills, stunning views. Kaiserstuhl, Staufen, Freiburg, Basel, Colmar are all within less than an hours car drive. 3 thermal spas are very close by, so are recreational activities such as hiking, mountain biking, cycling, skiing (down hill and cross country), horse cart riding, canoeing, fishing and hunting, golf, Michelin star and local restaurants. A nearby village store with a cafe provides for all amenities and fresh produce as well as freshly baked cakes. In the quaint historic chapel of Muggardt you can find peace and tranquility. The ruin of the castle Neuenfels overlook the Rhein valley, offering splendid views and is in walking distance. The neighbouring 3rd tallest mountain in the black forrest offers alpine views. Transport: Parking in front of the house, park and ride in the nearby villages Heitersheim and Muellheim where you can catch the train to Basel, Mulhouse or Freiburg.
