Berwyn Betty Apartment

New to the market- this completely renovated apartment sits atop our Bath and Body workshop. Our small business began in our home 8 years ago and in 2016 it became too big to stay there. We bought this run down corner store building that sits on a double lot on a neighborhood street in south Berwyn. Over the next year, we completely renovated the building. The first floor is the home to our e-commerce business. The second floor was built with the traveller's needs in mind. This apartment is a bright, sunny happy place. Decorated with Chicago themed details and goods from local artists and crafters. We keep it very clean and organized for your enjoyment. Our guests have complete and private access to the second floor. Two driveway parking spaces and a large backyard are also for your use. We have a bike rack where guests can lock up their bikes or borrow ours (if arranged) to explore the neighborhood. Berwyn is full of traditional chicago brick bungalow homes built in the 1920s. It boasts the largest collection of these homes in the nation. The apartment has many amenities - a new large washer and dryer. Perfect for guests on road trips that would like to cleanup before heading out. Cable, Netflix, game console all for your use. Toiletries, laundry supplies , snacks, light breakfast food and coffee are all complimentary. Apartment is cleaned at the end of stay. If guests will be staying for an extended time, they may request additional apartment cleaning services. There will be a cleaning fee added for each additional cleaning visit (currently $75 per cleaning). Please arrange with host if interested. 8 miles to the chicago loop. Accessible to public transportation. 2 miles to Brookfield Zoo and historic Oak Park. Close to shopping, live music, old school bakery. The first floor of this building houses Berwyn Bettys Bath & Body’s workshop ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) a community based mission business. Tour can be arranged. In the future look for destination classes offered. Guests have full access to the second floor of the building and the backyard. Driveway and bike rack are for guest use as well. If interested in touring the Berwyn Betty Bath Bomb workshop on the first floor, guests are welcome to arrange this. In the future we hope to offer bath product making excursions. Learn to make products downstairs and stay as our guest upstairs. Berwyn is a diverse community on the near West side of Chicago. We are a suburb "on the grid" that is known for our eccentricities and vibrant art and music scenes. We have the "Velt", which are the various clubs on Roosevelt Ave. and Rt. 66 running through our town. We are perfectly situated in the center of all of what makes Chicago-land unique. Apartment is on a quiet neighborhood street. Easy public bus access two blocks away. One mile from the Metra train to Chicago Union Station (20 minute train ride). A mile and a half from the CTA Blue line (to downtown and O'Hare airport). Absolutely no pets. We are happy to recommend pet boarding options. If you show up with a pet, you will be asked to leave.
