Rose Room plus Loft at Woodhaven Farm

Our home is tucked away on a privately-owned 40 acre farm in Southwest Ohio, just a 90 min. drive from Cincinnati, Dayton or Columbus. Our spacious contemporary home is well suited to provide the perfect setting for a quiet family retreat. Only one family will be booked at a time. This offering includes our Rose Room featuring a queen-sized bed and full bath plus our spacious dorm style loft, where you and your group will enjoy the comfort of 4 antique beds with pillow-topped mattresses, two large comfy sofas and several rocking chairs. The wet bar and half bath turn the loft into the perfect place for your next country retreat. Reservations can be made for as many as 2 guest in the Rose Room plus 4 guest or extended family in the loft for a total of $300 per night. Up to 2 additional guest are welcome for $25. each per night. Your family and friends will also enjoy full access to the first floor great room, a back hall galley kitchen, a second half bath and outdoor sitting areas including a screened-in porch. On your arrival, we will greet you, provide a brief tour of our home and show you where to "settle in". From there you are free to roam about as you wish or just kick back and relax. If you are looking for a more complete farm experience, you may join us as we go about our chores tending our small herd of beef cattle and friendly flock of laying hens. A paved county road will bring you to our home where you will find us surrounded by mature woods, several open areas, gently rolling hills and streams. You will not find high-end restaurants or big city nighttime"hot spots". You might find a local country festival or a Saturday morning auction. Please drive with caution in our neighborhood, for you are apt to come upon an Amish buggy or two. You may enjoy an evening show of Lightning Bugs or the strange night noises (birds and other creatures) coming from the woods while you sit on the porch with your friends sipping your favorite beverage. Our home is secluded with a gravel driveway approximately .3 miles from the paved road. We do have security lighting for guest who do not wish to experience the total darkness so common to country living. We do have a flower beds frequented by hummingbirds and butterflies and a woods where wild flowers grow through out the warm months of the year. The Trillium are abundant during the month of May. Your own private transportation is a must when visiting Woodhaven Farm. You will awaken to the aroma of a country-style breakfast served family style or buffet, featuring fresh baked breads such as scones or muffins, farm fresh eggs, breakfast meats or lighter fare if you wish. On the day of departure, your morning meal will be customized to fit your needs. Folks who choose to sleep in may want a brunch buffet, while early risers may enjoy a fresh-baked scone or a thick slice of homemade cinnamon swirl toast with jam or honey.
