This is one of two log frame cabins located in Haywood County in a private, wooded setting. Great for a couple or solo traveler. If traveling with family/friends and prefer separate accommodations, these cabins are perfect for your group. Each cabin offers you the opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of woods while being conveniently located 3 miles to the charming town of Waynesville, NC, which offers unique shopping, a wide variety of restaurants, breweries, and seasonal festivals. Nearby Asheville, Maggie Valley, Cherokee, and Smokey Mountain National Park offer endless activities. This cabin is tastefully decorated in a Bear theme. Our other cabin, VRBO listing #1387024, is decorated in a Deer theme. Our Bear cabin comes complete with a full array of kitchen amenities, appliances, a Beautyrest Queen mattress (new in 2019), quality linens, bath towels, ceiling fans, AC/heat, Direct TV service, a covered back porch with long distance mountain views, gas grill, outdoor patio table with 4 chairs and 2 rocking chairs. The cabin has a leather reclining loveseat and a separate reclining chair, a dining table with two chairs, a full bath with a bathtub/shower, and a loft open to the living area accessible by ladder. We offer a 7-night special and a 5-night weekday (Sun-Thur only) special. You must inquire when requesting reservation, then we will revise the calculated rate on VRBO prior to completion of your booking. Summer Special Rates: 7-night weekly rate: $625.00 5-night weekday rate $425.00 (Sunday night through Thursday night) Fall Special Rates: 7-night weekly rate: $700.00 5-night weekday rate: $475.00 (Sunday night through Thursday night) No Monthly Rentals - Maximum Stay is 2 weeks. We are an owner managed property. There are no third party costs passed on to the traveler often seen in other property rentals. Other than your VRBO fee, there are no hidden management charges and we have a low cleaning fee of $50.00. There is minimum 2-night stay required, a maximum 2-week stay is allowed. COVID-19 Information: We welcome you to relax and take in a calm retreat in one of our cozy cabins. In regards to the recent Covid-19 pandemic recovery, we can assure you our high standards of cleaning are still in place. We have added some recent recommendations from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) to help calm any related concerns you might have. We have the same housekeeping couple we have used for the last 4 years and they are onboard with us to provide you with the same high standards of cleanliness and disinfecting of the cabin after each guest. They have been provided with recommendations of hand washing prior to cleaning and donning disposable gloves during the cleaning process. While cleaning, they also will be using a CDC recommended multi-purpose disinfectant to clean hard surfaces and high contact touch areas as best practical. Linens and towels will continue to be washed in hot water using a septic safe, fragrance free detergent. To take further precautions, we remind you to not leave any items (that you brought) in the cabin even with good intentions that someone else could use. If you brought in any cooking condiments, soaps or detergent, please take it back with you. Any food, even if sealed and unused, must be taken with you or thrown away upon your exit from the cabin. Please refer to our trash collection locations that you can utilize on your way home. Please keep in mind YOUR BEST DEFENSE against any viral illness is proper and frequent hand washing. We provide you with a bar of soap in the kitchen and bathroom. Please use them and wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and lather for 20 seconds before rinsing. Hand washing is recommended each time you enter/re-enter the cabin, after you use the bathroom, before any food preparation and after eating. The comfort and safe health of your stay is our top priority.
