Quiet and Peaceful Ranch style home in the country

We have a 2200 sq. ft. ranch style home that sits on 7 acres. Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have queen beds. The third bedroom can be used with our inflatable queen mattress. Full kitchen and 2 full bath rooms. Please let us know before you book if you are thinking about bringing your fur baby. We would also need to know the breed and size of your pet and up on all vaccines and flea/ tick prevention. Please no unexpected pets. We have a 4 ft. Chain link fence around backyard. Peaceful and relaxing ! The perfect place to unwind or return to after visiting one of Southern Illinois's many attractions. Guests will have access to the entire house with the exception of the garage, a white utility cabinet and gun safe in the utility room. Also the stove / oven is a double and the bottom oven door when open will touch the floor. Please be mindful when you open it of who is close by. The host will greet you upon arrival if you so desire. The host will be available during your stay. Depending upon the weather, the host may need to visit the property during your stay. Water plants, retrieve something from the garage etc. The host will never come in the house without your permission . The host will enter through the garage to the back yard to water plants and water plants on the front porch. The host will not make these visits without contacting you first through Airbnb. Our neighborhood is quiet. The majority of the time the street we live on has minimal traffic. We know our neighbors and while none of the home are very close everyone looks out for each other. We have a wonderful neighborhood watch program. We are located in a country side setting. Where deer maybe grazing out side the fence or passing through into our wooded acres in the back. It's also not uncommon to see a fox making there way to the woods. To sit on the back deck and watch the different birds feeding is one of my favorite things to do. If you sit on one of the rocking chairs on the front porch you can see the horses running or just grazing across the road. A car or motorized vehicle will be the best way to navigate the area. Below is a list of interesting destinations in the area. All distances are calculated from Johnston City. Tunnel Hill is an excellent hiking and biking trail. Located appox. 26 miles away, you can ride or walk the relatively flat, tree lined trail which used to be a railroad line. Southern Illinois University is 19 miles away. Shawnee National Forrest is 30 miles away from our home. Rend Lake and the visitor center is 21 miles away. Garden of The Gods is 50 miles away. Crab Orchard Lake is 17 miles away. Devil's Kitchen Lake is 19 miles away. Fern Cliff State Park is 23 miles away. Giant City Lodge and park is 26 miles away. Shawnee National Forrest is 30 miles away. As you can tell this are has alot to offer and at no extra cost to you. Our home has laminate floors. Please be aware of any spills or wet articles that are left on the flooring. Laminate floors can not with stand any wet objects on them for any length of time or it will have to be replaced. Please do not leave the house with the dish washer, washer or dryer running. We do not want anything to go wrong while you are away. We will expect pets to be house broke and well behaved . Please have your pets up to date on all shots and be flea and tick protected. Please pick up after your pet. I will have poop bag ready for you to use. Please let us know before you book if you are planning on bringing your furbaby. We also would like to know what breed of dog you are bring and the weight. Please do not bring any aggressive dogs. Also our home is not child proof.
