The Whiting House

Our home is clean comfortable and quiet. The space is big enough for a family to spread out a little. The front porch is so relaxing. Our guest like to sit on the rockers and watch the people walk by. Especially during our towns many summer festivals. Lake Michigan is only a couple blocks away, if your an early riser the sunrise over downtown Chicago is amazing. We are 4 blocks from beautiful Wahala Beach. If you enjoy biking Whiting has wonderful bike paths. The home you see in the picture is split into 3 apts. The main one with the tan door on the front porch is the BnB unit. The living room is large and clean. There is no full kitchen but the little kitchenette area has a fridge and microwave and coffee maker. The bedrooms are upstairs for a little privacy. The bathroom is downstairs. Guests have a private entrance right on the front porch. Please keep door locked at all times. We are usually available via text or cell for any questions. Our town is very quaint. We are right on the shores of Lake Michigan a 30 minute drive to downtown. We have wonderful bike paths. Stores and restaurants are a short walk from our home. Lost Marsh golf course is a mile away. Beautiful Whahala Beach is 4 blocks away. The Mascot museum is just down the street. Check the city website for details, and a list of our many summer festivals, which sometimes include parking restrictions. We are 17 miles from downtown Chicago. If you drive take LSD to avoid tolls and traffic. The nearest train station is the South Shore Line 3 miles from the house with free parking. It takes you downtown in under an hour. Whiting is also a stop on the Amtrak line to downtown Chicago, The Amtrak station is about 1.5 miles from the home. This apt has no cooking since there is no kitchen. There is a fridge and microwave both visible in the picture. Both of the 2 bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. Our home is very old and some things have been updated. There are quite a few steep stairs.
