Starlight Cove on Seneca Lake

Beautiful lakeside views and newly renovated kitchen. Bright and cheery Starlight Cove is a three bedroom cottage right on the beautiful shores of Seneca Lake. Two kayaks, a rowboat & life vests are available for use and a world class winery (Hermann J. Wiemer) is within walking distance. Comfortable new mattresses and bedding and room darkening window coverings ensure your complete relaxation and enjoyment. A lakeside fire pit is also available for use. Access to the lake via stairs or ladder. Please make it clear in your reservation how many guests will be staying at the cottage. This ensures we leave enough towels and have enough beds made up. There are two 12-cup drip coffee makers. We provide initial coffee and “fixings” and filters. There is a propane grill available for use and propane is provided. There is room for only two cars. If you have more than that, please let us know and we will tell you where to park them up above the property. Please do not park on the grass by the cottage. And please, no boats by the cottage - there’s not enough room. It is possible to tie a boat to the dock in the water, but not park on the lawn. Contact us ahead of time if you are bringing a boat, we can help with where to park it and/or the trailer. We are limited by our rental license to no more than 8 overnight guests. Please do not exceed this number. Please let us know if you are bringing any dogs. We ask that they be well trained, house broken and no risk to strangers. Please be responsible for cleaning up after them. We now have a reverse osmosis system for the drinking water so no need to buy or bring bottled water. We are right on the water and that brings muskrats - cute little furry creatures that swim and dig holes in the yard. They won’t bother you, but watch out for their little burrows which can make the ground uneven and be a tripping hazard. We try to fill the holes in, but we aren’t always able to keep up with their relentless work ethic.
