Luxurious Private Suite in Newton

Our spacious and comfortable guest suite is outfitted with a double bed, double futon, private bathroom, 42" TV, small table with two chairs, and robust wireless access. Our house is located next to a park and public tennis courts, and it is a 15 minute walk from the subway into Boston and from two neighborhood centers with many shops and restaurants. The house has four levels and the guest suite is in the basement. It is completely dry, private and quiet. There are four windows but they are close to the ceiling rather than at eye level. Shades are provided for privacy but can be raised to let in more light. Though the suite technically sleeps four, it is ideal for one person, a couple or a couple with a child. In addition to the entire lower level, guests also have access to the half bath on the ground floor, and to the front porch and back yard. We are busy people so will probably have limited interaction with guests. However, we are also friendly and will be happy to give you directions, make suggestions for places to go and things to do, and even do a load of laundry for you! The neighborhood is residential and is in close proximity to a park, shops, restaurants, public transportation, Dunkin' Donuts, Whole Foods, and a beautiful public library. There is a north-south bus that runs a block away and both the Newton Centre and Newton Highlands T (subway) stops are a ten-minute walk away. Boston's Logan Airport is accessible via the T. Free parking is available on the street between April 1 and November 30 and in an adjacent parking lot at other times of year. This suite is down a flight of stairs and is therefore not handicapped accessible. There is a sump pump on the same level that activates during rainy periods; if you are a light sleeper it might bother you. We use environmentally-friendly cleaning products and launder with perfume and dye-free detergent. Three days notice is required when making a reservation. At this time we are only renting to guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Both my wife and I are fully vaccinated. The suite is thoroughly cleaned between guests.
