Harvey's Lake/ near Ricketts Glen

Our house is 2640 square feet. We own 1.34 acres in a wooded area. It's very quiet where we live and we have very few houses near us. We are also offering the use of our first floor: a shared living room and a shared kitchen. Guests are welcome to use the fire pit as well. There will be a $15.00 charge for a very large bundle of wood. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO NOTE: THERE ARE A CAT AND A DOG THAT LIVE AT THE RESIDENCE. IF YOU HAVE A SEVERE ALLERGY, THIS MAY BE A PROBLEM. All guest must remove shoes upon entering the house. Please place shoes on area rugs when entering. Guests are welcome to wear slippers, as long as they have no outside dirt.In Please note that there will be a $5.00 fee for the use of the washer and dryer. We take Covid 19 very seriously. We clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces between bookings. There are many places open at the lake for takeout, curbside pickup or delivery. WE ARE ASKING THAT YOU PLEASE WEAR A MASK UPON ENTERING AND EXITING THE PROPERTY, AS WELL AS IN THE COMMON AREAS OF THE HOME (LIVING ROOM, KITCHEN). WE ALSO ASK THAT YOU DON'T EAT IN THE SHARED SPACES OF THE HOME. YOUR PRIVATE BEDROOM MAY BE USED FOR THIS- PLEASE BE SURE TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. YOUR COOPERATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME! We have a Keurig and K- cups if you would like coffee in the morning. We live 1/2 mile from PA's largest natural lake. Our lake is approx. 8 miles around. Ricketts Glenn is approximately 20 to 30 minutes from our house... it depends on which trail you want to hike. There are a few restaurants around the lake to check out. Grotto Pizza is a must for pizza lovers! A must see spot is the public boat launch, where you can see the boaters and kayakers. We have plenty of parking available! In June, July and August, we offer complimentary beach passes to Sunset Beach at Harvey's Lake. There is a covered pavilion where you can sit and have lunch or snacks. There is also a restaurant across the street, called "Grotto Pizza". You can pick up a pizza and eat at the beach or you can eat on Grotto's patio and enjoy the lake view from there. You can swim in the lake or just float around on tubes. Please let us know if you would like to borrow our innertubes to float around or beach chairs. Please note: Damaged or destroyed tubes will incur a $10.00 fee per tube. We also have kayaks available to rent. Please ask if interested. Please note that after 9 pm it's quiet time. Since the hosts may have work and need to wake early, please be respectful, no coming or going after 9, and please no engaging in loud conversations or loud TV or radio. Please be mindful when closing doors- no slamming please. Use of the Internet: Illegal downloading of copyrighted material, and online file sharing of copyrighted material, is against the law. If you allow your computer/device to illegally download or distribute copyrighted material, you can face civil law suits from the Recording Industry of America and/or The Motion Picture Association of America for downloading copyrighted content. In extreme cases, you can be charged with a crime and face fines and/or jail time. If we are informed by our Internet service provider that any illegal downloads occurred while you are a guest in our home, you will be liable for all fees incurred as a result. Your name and contact information that we have will also be made available to the Internet service provider if they wish to contact you regarding illegal downloads.”
