You are staying at a guest house for our Community. We hope to make it available to discerning travelers who wish to enjoy the peace and quiet of Southeastern Arizona and explore the Chiricahua National Monument, old ghost towns (Tombstone, Pierce, etc), Wine Tasting, Rex Allen Museum, and much, much more. There is room to relax and to pray. This, hopefully will be your home away from home. Plenty of space for the dogs to run around and burn off some pent up energy from the trip. Under the pergola you can enjoy your dining with your favorite local Willcox wines from which we have gained deserved fame. Apple Annie's pies are 5 minutes driving distance. You can buy them ready made or bake them in the kitchen. The full service TV with DISH "America's Everything ( HBO, Stars,...)," in the living room should make your stay enjoyable. National parks, Tombstone, Bisbee and other ghost towns are all with an hour's drive from this hub. Wine tasting from the many local wineries is "a must." Willcox itself is a great visit as it's historic center is where Wayne Earp (Wyatt's brother) was shot and died. The historic Willcox theater and the oldest store in Arizona grace our town. Agua Prieta, Mexico is but an hour away and historic Douglas is worth the visit. We hope to serve you and, anticipating your arrival: "Welcome home." You will have free run of the living rooms, dining areas, kitchens. We hope you will bring your groceries or if you need for Moramay to prepare something, you may dialog with her. Feel free to prepare your meals and dine where you will outside or in the four various dining areas. If you are a large group, there is space for large area dining indoors. This is your home. Feel free. But there are probably will be other guests as well. Please be respectful. There are plenty of areas outside (weather permitting) where you can enjoy the scenery and enjoy the company of your friends. Whatever you need, speak to Moramay, she should be able to accommodate you and make your stay more pleasant and a pleasant experience for the other guests. You are at the very edge of the city (town). We are surrounded by ranchland. Cows are present. You can hear them, and (sometimes) smell them. This is rural America! You are a part of nature. Don't be surprised by the presence of bugs. We fumigate and do our very best to not have bugs in the house... but it is a war man will never win... we can just to our best to stave them off. Outside, bug zapper and candles and everything available we use... however, only in winter are we "bug free"! Be forewarned! It's not that bad... but don't be surprised. The neighbors are respectful and so are we... We keep the noise reasonable and don't bother our few neighbors as they don't bother us. Enjoy yourselves and rest... Welcome! There is no public transportation. No Uber, No Lyft, No taxis nor buses. Even walking can be taxing on the Arizona Summer and some extreme temps of Winter. This is a rural environment where the nearest big city is Tucson over an hour away. Several towns of like size are around us about an hour away. You must have a car. If Willcox is your destination, Greyhound does arrive and leave from here. There are places to hike (taking plenty of water) in the National Parks. But outside of walking in the historic downtown, it is not suggested during the peaks of Summer and Winter. If you are planning an excursion into Mexico (Agua Prieta or Naco, Sonora) it is best to bring your passport. You may not need it, but it is proof that you are a U.S. citizen (if that be the case). In any case, you will need an identification card. The drive into Tombstone forces you to pass a secondary border check facility. If you have any immigration issues, it is a bad idea to go South to Tombstone, Bisbee, Douglas, Sierra Vista, Elfrida, etc. without the necessary documentation so to avoid deportation.
