The Kitchen at StoneLedge

Affectionately referred to as “The Kitchen”. This dwelling is positioned near a vibrant garden and has been used to procure the vegetation. This one room retreat is perfect for the traveler with glamping in mind. A Murphy’s bed provides a restful night sleep while an outdoor latrine is positioned close by. The spacious indoor area has a large island with colorful seating and a commercial size sink to accommodate a quick cleanup either for dishes or personal use. The Kitchen is located on an 80 acre farm. The space is cooled and heated with a window air conditioner. For cooking purposes, a charcoal grill will be at your disposal. Please note charcoal is not provided. The Kitchen is also equipped with a Blackstone 22" griddle/burner combination which propane is provided for, mini frig, microwave, toaster, & coffee pot. Twin air mattress or cot & bedding will be provided for additional guest over 2 which is included in the additional guest charge. A tent may be rented for $55 which includes set up and break down. Items that may added on: Air mattress and bedding, if no extra guest, $20. Cot & sleeping bag $30. Please note during Derby week ( first weekend in May) 3 night minimum stay & additional guest are $60 per night. The tent fee is $80. The outdoor latrine is equipped with a Laveo dry-flush toilet system. Watching a YouTube video on the Laveo dry flush is recommended. There is an outdoor shower with hot & cold water. To access “The Kitchen” at StoneLedge, there is a short walk from where you would park. A complimentary wagon is offered to assist in transporting your items. The Kitchen is also located close to the hiking trail that leads to the waterfall. This trail is used by other guest and by people boarding their horses. The Kitchen is not available November through late March/early April due to the potential of freezing water lines. *Please note inquiry’s, request, and confirmed reservations made between 10pm EST and 6:30am will be answered after 6:30am. Guest have access to the common grounds and hiking in the woods. Please note the hiking trail to the waterfall is located in close proximity to the kitchen. This is considered part of the common areas on the farm. You may see other guest hiking or an occasional horse rider exercising their horse. Guest interaction is minimal unless needed or requested. Always available to answer questions via text, call or email. The farm is approximately 10 minutes from I71 exit 22 and the town of La Grange which has Kroger, Walmart and restaurants. **CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES WHEN OUT ON THE PROPERTY** *The Kitchen is located in close proximity to the garden. During planting, growing, and harvesting season we may be working in the garden 11-3ish. We always try to give notice prior to. *Please note 3 night minimum stay Derby week (1st Saturday in May). **you may request same day bookings and IF I can accommodate check in time would be 5pm unless otherwise conveyed. - Pets are permitted with prior approval. Pets must be house broken and have no destructive habits. They must be on leash at all times when out on the property. Pets are NOT allow on the furniture, including the beds & please pick up after your pet when out walking them. If more than 1 pet there will be an additional charge of $25 per pet. -We are not responsible for circumstances beyond our control such as power outages, appliances failing, cable outages, etc.. -The fire pit may be used with prior approval and if weather conditions permit. Must be notified by 4pm day of use or prior to prepare area. There is a $35 fee to use the fire pit whether you provide your own fire wood or we provide. The fee does includes a log starter, firewood and set up. -The Kitchen has a Weber charcoal grill. Charcoal is not provided. You may purchase a charcoal with starter fluid for $5 per use.
