Fabulous Farm House with pool near Ark Encounter

This is a beautiful, recently constructed, vintage inspired farmhouse. Sitting on a real, working 200+ acre farm, this farmhouse, pool and pool house is a great rural get away. Serene and quiet, 15 mins away from the Ark Encounter, 35 mins from the Creation Museum, 15 mins from Florence KY and 30 mins from Cincinnati Ohio. You’ll enjoy sweeping views of the beautiful rolling hills of Kentucky, and its beautiful sunsets and fall asleep to the soothing sound of a train in the distance. Inside, this is a beautiful, center hall stair farmhouse, filled with light and charm. Dark hardwood floors, handmade woodwork and door and window trim, and soothing light colors make you feel as if you are on vacation the moment you walk in the door. The kitchen is a cook's kitchen with six gas burners, two ovens, a warming drawer and microwave. The living room has a beautiful gas fireplace with tv hidden above. Each bedroom is unique and inviting and there are 3 1/2 baths and a second floor study. Guests may access the entire house and pool house. Also, please know that pools have issues from time to time and may require maintenance that could occur during your stay. I will do everything possible to ensure you can use the pool during your stay, but maintenance people may be present to perform service during all or part of your stay, and swimming could be limited or delayed due to any issues with the pool. Also, there are no guarantees when the pool will open or close. We often open later than most pools due to what is going on at the farm. While I do not stay at the farmhouse when we have guests, I will be available to help during the stay. You need only contact me via the airbnb messaging tool or call my cell number which is listed in the house manual. Also, please know, there is a caretaker, Aaron, that lives on the property who can help you as well. You will see him around watering flowers on the porches, cutting grass, tending to the pool, etc. The farmhouse is located on a picturesque winding country road with a few neighbors across the street and other farms on either side. This is farm country. You will want a car or the ability to access uber/lyft. Finally, Fioptics has reached the farmhouse! Internet is high speed and no data caps! Can you tell I'm excited? Also have cable TV channels. There are detailed instructions for operating the TV and accessing the wifi in the electronic house manual and the physical house manual on the kitchen table. There is also a HDMI cable. If you have a laptop with a dvd player, you can bring dvds to play on the TV. The basement now has many fun things to do! There is a ping pong table including paddles and balls that guests are welcome to use. There is also a full size billiards table. IMPORTANT NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO DRINKS OR FOOD MAY BE SET ON THE RAILS OR THE FELT OF THE POOL TABLE. GUEST WILL BE CHARGED IN EXCESS OF $200 IF TABLE NEEDS TO BE RE-FELTED. Also, this is a real working farm. Each year there is 100+ acres of corn or soybeans. Depending on the time of your visit, there will be tractors and equipment and a farmer (my dad) tending the fields. This will happen as needed and on the farmer's schedule. Thank you for understanding. WEATHER AND POWER For whatever reason, the power does tend to go out for a period of time when there is weather. It is normally restored somewhat quickly, but please know this is a potential. There are many candles throughout the first floor of the house and more in the drawers of the large white hutch in the kitchen. There should also be matches, a lighter and flashlights in the drawer above the garbage cans in the kitchen. The energy company usually texts me so I will know if there might be a problem and sometimes they have an estimated time when power will be restored.
