Artist's Studio Guest House,Center Hill Lake
Unique artist studio/guest house on 23 acre farm on a dead end country road. Open concept bedroom/living room with full kitchen and private bath. Queen Murphy bed and full futon.Tranquil country road perfect for walking and biking. Nearby adventures include the Appalachian Center for Craft, Caney Fork River,Center Hill Lake,Edgar Evans State Park,Rock Island, Window Cliff, Cummins and Burgess Falls.Perfect place to rest after a day of kayaking, hiking or workshops. This space functions as a fiber artist's studio which means you'll see neatly organized boxes of beautifully colored wool and sewing machines. Because it is a studio, there are supply shelves open to the living space. The supplies are not for guest use. The studio is uniquely decorated with artwork and vintage pieces like the kitchen sink and stained glass window. This is NOT a good space for young children(under age 8) due to the open shelving and the concrete floors. We allow older children but have made exceptions under certain circumstances. There's also a step up into the bathroom which could make it difficult for some people. We have WiFi but no television. There is a fire pit available in the yard and we will will supply a limited amount of firewood. This is a rural setting and sometimes we can’t control natural occurrences that occur in the country like bugs, creatures, stray dogs and loud rain on the tin roof:) Guest have access to the entire acre the studio is on and are welcome to bike and hike the dead end road which ends with a gorgeous seasonal view of Center Hill Lake. There is plenty of room for guests to park a boat on the property beside the studio. The ground is flat for easy backing in and out. Our house is approximately an 1/8 of a mile from the studio. We do like to meet guests at some point in your stay but may not be available at check in. We also have a tiny house next to the studio that's also an Airbnb but the studio feels private. Our road is a quiet country dead end. There is a glass blowing studio within walking walking distance that is sometimes open to the public on the weekend. Hours vary depending on his schedule. There are only a few residents on the road. Our private house nearby. We will be available but you can have all the freedom or privacy you prefer. Close to 3 marinas on Center Hill lake. Plenty of space to park a boat. Nearby kayaking and canoeing, fishing, swimming, and hiking are some of the activities will be able to enjoy in the area. Within only a few miles of 1-40. Convenient to many tourists attractions in the Upper Cumberland! Must have a car! One night stays welcome during the week or within 24 hours of a Friday/Saturday if we are not booked for the weekend. We prefer weekends to be 2 night minimums but if it’s available ask about reserving and I will change it to accept 1 night. If you book same day as your stay we need 1-2 hours notice to prepare for your visit. If you need the second bed set up for a 2 guest stay, we need to know. Otherwise we will assume you’re sharing the queen bed with your guest. There is a step up to the bathroom. There is no grocery stores within 20 minutes from here so we recommend you pick food up prior to arrival!
