Our organic home is located in a quiet residential area, near train, restaurants, and a picturesque harbor. Central air conditioning for summer, heated floors in winter and super fast WiFi all year long. More so, we have everything within walking distance, grocery stores, cafes, ice-cream shop, restaurants, library, post office, track/field and bookstore all in a amazingly quiet neiborhood. Here you can really enjoy the quiet and hear the bird chirping, rest on the front porch, stretch indoors on the yoga trapeze, or sit in the backyard with a gas BBQ, the fire pit and 6 person eating area while the kids can sea-saw, fill the baby pool and use the slide to water splash. The evening is a great time to relax in front of the fire place with a great library of esoteric books or chill on the front porch and it will truly feel like home..... To add.. we have an electric drum set, a keyboard, and other musical instruments. We also have The Mirror (the exercise companion.. if you have an account you can use it.. ) Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms; one queen organic latex mattress and two full size beds with Metta mattress all of which are non toxic made with organic wool and cotton and goose down pillows, salt lamps, one industrial air purifier (in the master bedroom) if you are sensitive or allergy prone this is the house for you! Also upstairs there are 2 full bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner and hand soap, Q-tips, toothpaste and towels for your use. We live chemical free, our home is green. We only use and provide natural products for personal care and house cleaning with essential oils, ecological, organic and sustainable ingredients. Enjoy a eco conscious and organic kitchen- Teflon free and microwave free kitchen - with All Clad pots and pans, gas stove, the Vita-mixer and a slow juicer you have many options. We have a outdoor compost bin and are in the beginning stages of a permaculture garden. Our front and back yard is eco friendly, we have native plant and herb gardens. We are letting the grass grow so we can feed the butterflies and bees with lovely wildflowers. Please feel free to pick from the vegetables in the garden, drink clean water from our Berkey gravity filter or cook in our modern kitchen. We love sharing our organic lifestyle with those that are so inclined or interested in shifting over to all natural living. If you are interested in a long term stay please feel free to send a message. Guests are welcomed to use the porch, the backyard,back deck and driveway. During your stay we will be available for questions and will offer you as much information as you need. You will be able to text me as often as needed and as you arrive I will be there to greet you and pass on the keys unless otherwise arranged. ************£** If you book to stay on a Tuesday please note that the porch is the host site for a CSA box pick up, from June- November. This means that the front porch is a pick up site for vegetable shares from the Golden Earthworm Organic Farm. These shares are prepaid and for members only. There are about 40 members who pick up their box of vegetables sporadically from 2:30 - 8 pm. You do not need to do anything or interact with them, each person, one at a time, will come up to the porch to get their box and nothing else. At the end of the night I (or someone else) will come and tidy up. Enjoy both city and seaside life in a quant port town in the suburbs of NYC. We are located in the town of Port Washington, near the train station, which is frequent and offers upscale traveling. Our house is located near the commuter lot, a few doors down from Yamaguchi, the famous Japanese restaurant and lots of other fantastic restaurants like Tiga and BearBurger. It's a short 20 min. walk or quick drive to the harbor where you can enjoy live music at the Dolphin bookstore on a Friday night, relax time at the Inspiration Warf, book a session at the Port Washington Salt Cave, have dinner at Louis restaurant on the deck overlooking the harbor, picnic and experience live bands, open air cinema at the Sousa bandshell at Sunset Park, enjoy handmade ice cream, go fishing or even get a water taxi ride for a tour of area. Located 1.8 miles from the Sands Point Preserve which allows pets, has a beautiful woodland playground with zip line and has beach access with paid admission to the preserve. We are also close by to the Leeds Pond Preserve which has free parking, hiking trails, and beach access from the main road (off the sidewalk) to the bay of the Long Island Sound. We're also a short drive (1.7miles) from enjoying the boardwalk, scooting or biking at Bar Beach at Hempstead Harbor (you may need to park across the street and walk in depending on season), the biking trails at Hempstead Harbor Trails, and the Olympic size pool at Manorhaven Beach and pool, (accessible for Nassau county residents or if you go with a local resident) The beach park has a free playground, and skate park that are open for all but you must find street parking to walk in during peak season. We have a 3 car driveway and close to all public transports bus and LIRR. The house is in center of town, a short walk to everything you may need to enjoy your stay. You are welcome to use washer and dryer if need arises, they are located in the basement along with my art studio. Other than needing to do laundry there is no reason to access this space. The door from the kitchen leads to this space but there is also another door, a private entrance, to get to this space. *The art studio is accessible from the private entrance without interfering with your privacy. I usually only come to empty out the dehumidifier or pick up some art supplies. If this need arises I will always text or call you to let you know I’m coming. Our neiborhood is very quiet and our neighbors are well aware of what goes on on our block. If you decide to have a party and invite people not on the guest list into our house, which is a violation to the house rules, you will be fined $5000.00 for the violation in addition the cost of any additional damages to our home. If you under-book the number of persons staying you will be fined double the cost per night for each additional person.
