Retreat in the Redwoods

Our little getaway is a conveniently located literal breath of fresh air. Inside the house you'll feel like you’re in a hotel suite, while outside you'll feel like you're camping in the forest. You’re minutes away from adorable downtown Boulder Creek and in the magic of the Santa Cruz Mountains. * Hi-speed Wi-Fi * 2 TVs * Full kitchen * Keurig coffee maker * Outdoor fire pit * Indoor wall heater that keeps the place toasty (do not use pellet stove) * Fans Enjoy towering redwoods outside and cozy creature comforts inside. Our location makes a perfect launching and landing pad for adventures in the Santa Cruz mountains, whether they be in the forest or the at the beach. While Big Basin will be closed for quite some time, Castle Rock and Henry Cowell State Parks are open, and Santa Cruz is a favorite destination. Boulder Creek is super cool and cute, and you owe it to yourself to checkout the downtown area, just a mile or so down the 9. The neighboring towns of Ben Lomond, Brookdale, and Felton all have unique offerings that are truly special. Wherever you decide to spend your time outside of the house, the inside is guaranteed to be clean and comfortable, with an awesome shower and fabulous kitchen. Think of the space as a either a really cozy house or a super spacious hotel room, situated amongst towering redwoods. There is a wardrobe to hang clothes and two dressers if you want to unpack. The platform under the queen bed provides space to store your luggage. We provide extra blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, and even robes. Both TVs have Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, and between the many board games, books, and vintage gaming consoles, you will find something to do! The kitchen has everything you could want in a kitchen (or everything we could want! Let me know if I'm missing anything!), so please make yourself at home and enjoy. The backyard area feels like a campsite - but steps away from comfort and high-speed Wi-Fi. This is your getaway. If you're looking for interaction, look elsewhere. We live close enough that we can get there quickly, but far enough away that the place is yours to enjoy in solitude. Thank you so much for being respectful of our neighbors. They all live in the peaceful redwoods for a reason - thanks for keeping it peaceful. Our address is technically on Highway 9, but we are actually right off of it. However, YOU MUST PARK ON HIGHWAY 9. Do not park near the mailboxes - park behind them. We always park behind the 45 MPH sign - there's space for two vehicles there, no problem. Then you just walk up, past the mailboxes, and up to the house. Easy, peasy!
