*PLEASE NOTE*When we are hosting guests, we stay in the studio apt on the lower level of the cottage. It has a separate entrance & garden space and d nighis soundproof. **Laundry Rm is accessible to guests and hosts.** **Twin Mattress in loft is best suited for children or “smallish” teens.** **For July, August & Sept, the min stay is 3 nights. ** One of our guests said to us "the Madison Beach Hotel has nothin' on you" :) So plan to stay at Greenfield Cottage and save a lot of money…you won't regret it. Should you want to have a cocktail or dinner at the MBH, you're just a few minutes away. ***The 24-minute drive to New Haven and 30-minute drive to Middletown makes Greenfield Cottage a great place to stay for visiting nurses*** We have a keypad lock on the front door and will provide you with a custom code once you book with us. When we are in town, we stay in the studio apartment in our basement. We have our own entrance and outside terrace area. Our guests have access to our back decks which are on the other side of the house. We are close to town and the train station but you will need to have a car. If we can, we are happy to pick you up from the train station and take you to a nearby Enterprise where you can rent a car for the duration of your stay. Uber is also available as well as taxi service. But we are in the suburbs so you must plan accordingly. We will interact with guests only if they desire it. Ours is a very quiet neighborhood. Greenfield Cottage offers wonderful privacy and outdoor dining and grilling. As we are in a neighborhood setting, we ask our guests be mindful of that when outside on the back deck. There is room for multiple cars in our driveway. While we are only a short distance to the town village, train stations and beaches,you will need to have a car. There is an Enterprise located in Madison. Shoreline East and Metro North offers an alternative way to get into New Haven and New York City by train. Our house sleeps a max. of six guests. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a loft area with a twin-size mattress that is best suited for a child or smallish teenager. Bedding provided. We will allow 1 small to medium sized dog for an add'l non-refundable $25/night.
