HOPPER HIDEAWAY is a charming 1 bd/1bth luxury living accommodation for 2-4 people at Dragonfly Flats, the newest lodging on Creede's Main St. The newly renovated Victorian retreat that has 4 separate flats that can be rented separately or together. You can relax on the porch swing, rockers or bistro tables, enjoy the fire-pit in the backyard or step out your front door to the the center of the dining & arts district. It's the ultimate luxury vacation spot and walking distance to everything! HOPPER HIDEAWAY has 1 bedroom/1 bath (920 sq ft). It has a very comfortable sofa sleeper in the living room, so this flat can accommodate up to 4 people. It has been freshly painted throughout with warm, yet vibrant colors. The antique fly fishing motif makes for a very relaxing place to call home. The bay window in the kitchen and the table and chairs on the balcony overlook the shops on Main Street, the popular Kip's Bar and Grill and the beautiful mountains. Relax in the beautiful Jacuzzi garden tub after a long day of shopping and site seeing. This flat has a stackable washer/dryer inside the unit for your convenience. BBQ and fire-pit as well as patio furniture are available for all guests to use. We ask that if you use the propane, please replace it with a new tank before you leave. There is a trash dumpster on the alley side of the house for all guests to use. Owners do not live on the premises, but management is always a phone call away. We also have many friends available in Creede if needed. You'll never be bored in Creede. It's the ultimate family or couples vacation spot. The little town is so quaint and the people are very friendly. Creede is located in Mineral County and is 97% national forest, so the views and wildlife are breathtaking. Enjoy the only firehouse located in a mine. This is a very unique mining museum with lots of interesting history. There is also Bingo in the mineshaft. How many people can you ever say they did that? LOL. There are so many other attractions such as Batchelor Loop. This is a historic 17-mile tour (on your own), through the historic mining district above Creede. The tour takes you across mine locations from the 1890s and abandoned ghost towns that once rivaled Creede in size. The backroads to this loop are walking/biking distance from Dragonfly Flats. There are also lots of great hiking, biking, horseback riding and ATV trails to explore the beautiful mountains. There are also many other attractions in Creede such incredible fly fishing along the Rio Grande, snow sledding, ice skating on the frozen pond (seasonal), Cabin Fever Days, Rock and Mineral Show, Taste of Creede, North Creek Falls, fine art galleries, awesome boutiques, annual hot air balloon festival, great restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a grocery store walking distance. Most attractions are walking distance to Dragonfly Flats. You will need a car if you want to go to nearby attractions such as Wolf Creek Ski Area which is only 47 min. away, Pagosa Hot Spring Hotel and Spa which is only 1 hr and 20 min. away (The Springs Resort offers 23 soaking pools for your enjoyment - Open to the public 365 days a year), or North Clear Creek Falls which is 27 minutes away. Take caution when driving in icy or snowy weather, especially at night.
