The Cedar Lake House - 15 minutes to Morin Heights

Set on 2.5 levels, the lake house is a Scandinavian-inspired bright and modern home with a huge wall of windows facing the waterfront, tons of sunshine throughout the day and direct access to the most beautiful and tranquil swimmable lake. Come stay here to get away from the grind of the city and reconnect with nature. Located in Gore/Lakefield, which is a 1 hour drive from Montreal, 15 minutes from Morin-Heights and 25 minutes from St-Sauveur. The cottage is ideal for 2 families or a getaway with friends. It has 3 bedrooms (a master on the top level with a jacuzzi tub!, a room on the main floor and another suite + a living room on the lower level that converts into 4 single beds, if needed). The living room sofas on the main level also convert into sleepers, bringing the max occupancy up to 14 people! The lake is swimmable and is motorized vehicle-free so it’s beautiful and tranquil at all times. There’s also a small beach that you can paddle to from the dock. Bring your canoes and kayaks! The property is full of cedars, pines and birch trees with lots of mossy rocks and nooks to relax in, not to mention a large fire pit to lounge around with a glass of wine or toast marshmallows on! Guests have access to the whole house, property and lake. No noise will be tolerated after 9pm I'm here for you! :) The neighborhood is very scenic and tranquil. Located in the Laurentian Mountains within the community called Lakefield, the township consists of forested mountains and numerous beautiful streams and lakes. There is enough parking for 5-6 cars in the driveway. Other than living your best life in nature?! There is a golf course and horseback riding nearby as well as many activities, such as skiing, snowshoeing, biking and hiking in Morin Heights and St-Sauveur. The drive to the lake house is 99% on flat, well paved roads. There is no firewood provided on the property but guests are free to forage whatever wild wood is found on the property (ie branches, fallen tree trunks, etc) Due to liability, there are no watercraft vehicles or water flotation devices offered with this stay. Guests that do not properly dispose of trash will have an extra $350 cleaning fee added to their final bill. Guests that set off the fire or home alarm resulting in the police or fire department having to intervene will have an extra $350 charge added to their final bill. Aggressive behaviour and any form of verbal or physical abuse to the host or any employees will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate cancellation of the stay with no refund.
