Book Lovers' Retreat: Private Bedroom & Bath
Guest bedroom upstairs has a full bed, closet, desk, dresser, mini-fridge, microwave and hotpot; perfect for business or medical travelers on longer visits. Private bath a few steps away. Guest WiFi and ethernet cable also available in guest room. Homeowners own a friendly small dog and cat, but neither are allowed in guest rooms. Stay includes light breakfast of scones (if scones can be called "light") available on request, and coffee, espresso, or tea. Bedroom has overhead ceiling fan, easily adjustable blinds for privacy, plus central heat & A/C. Our home has a total of 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Our Airbnb guest has exclusive use of one bedroom and bath, both on the second floor. Guests are given a unique keypad code to allow them to come and go as they please during their stay. Parking is on the street. Guests have access to our laundry room with a sink and our shared family/living areas. Guests also have use of a microwave, toaster oven, coffeemakers, etc. Cooking and meal prep is possible — let us know in advance if you would like to use the kitchen. Always available by text if I’m not available in person, and happy to answer questions and help guests unfamiliar with Modesto. Our home is near a pleasant park with walking paths and a children’s play area, and conveniently located near shopping and dining. We are an easy half-mile walk from Encompass Health Rehab and a short drive from Memorial Hospital. We have a small friendly dog, but she is happy to stay in her kennel or with us when guests are present. If the pocket door to the kitchen is closed, it means the dog is loose in the kitchen. Knock, and we’ll put her in her kennel — which she actually likes, by the way, as she hangs out there voluntarily, too. We also have a cat. The litter box is in the garage, not in the house. :-)
