Clean and efficient 3 bedroom country home set on two acres of timbered land. We are frequently visited by natural wildlife, such as deer, squirrels and birds. Secluded but adjacent to the highway and near the city of Colville, the house is nearby scenic hiking trails, lakes, rivers and free tennis courts. The temperature within the house remains fresh and cool during the summer and is easy to heat during winter months. Piano and guitar available. Old timey stereo with cd and vinyl players. The house is uniquely situated in that it maintains a very private and nature-bound feel, while still having immediate access to the highway and being only 4 miles from historic downtown Colville. Set away from the sounds and distractions of the city, nights may be enjoyed star-gazing and morning, listening the the music of bird calls. The house has an abundance of light streaming in from all sides and remains well insulated on hot summer days. The heaters keep it warm in the winter. Water is good to drink, coming from an underground well. All parts of the house are available for guests. Note, there is one king in one bedroom and a twin in another. If your situation calls for it, another twin will be made up in the third of the bedroom . Within 2 km of the house, you will find beautiful Dominion Trail, a walking trail available to all levels. As well, the house is close to recreational lakes/rivers(20miles), tennis courts (3miles), and come winter, scenic snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails. Traffic is scarce, making the roads around the house great for cycling. Overall, an outdoor, nature-enthusiasts paradise! Colville is the county seat which borders British Columbia, Canada. An historic country town with roughly 5,000 residents, the downtown is definitely worth getting to know, hosting a beautiful park and outdoor swimming pool, traditional antique shops, clothing boutiques, fine eating and coffee and a small farmer's market Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am-1pm. The house is located 4 miles from Downtown Colville. By car, this will take approximately 7 minutes. By bicycle, approximately 20 minutes, but it is a serious uphill pull. Shoes are strictly not allowed to be worn inside of the house. We take pride in being able to offer a very clean environment to our guests and have found this protocol to be integral for making this possible (Brand new shoes and slippers are fine!!). If rented by only one person or a couple, the two unused bedrooms would be unprepared for guests to use.
