Cottage Oasis in Historic Glyndon
A small private home nestled in a historic neighborhood perfect for restful weekend retreats as well as longer stays. Historic Glyndon is a quiet neighborhood located just north of Baltimore. Our house has a backyard adjacent to woods with lots of wildlife. The patio offers opportunity for rest and relaxation. Guests will have full access to the main floor of the home. The main floor of the home offers a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living room with a TV and couch, as well as two bedrooms each with a queen bed. There is one full bathroom. You will have access to a private driveway room for several cars as well as a patio to lounge and relax among our frequent wildlife (including deer, squirrels and birds). If you are a long term guest you’ll have access to the washer and dryer found in the lower level. If needed and depending on length of stay, we can also offer space with a desk in the the lower level or upstairs for at home learning or remote work. Additional cost per night may be added if use of lower level is needed. We want to respect your privacy during your stay. We offer contact free check in but we are nearby if needed and love to meet our guests. We are more than happy to provide recommendations for food and activities in the area as well as answer any questions about the home and amenities! Our home is close to several restaurants and bars within 2-3 miles. Glyndon Shopping center is less then 1 mile away. It has Santoni’s Market, which provides a high quality deli along with quick meal options; Glyndon Grill Restaurant; a wine and beer store; and a Chinese takeout restaurant. Glyndon Pool is also within a mile and offers day passes for non-members for approximately $15/day with discounts for kids, seniors and military (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Stephenson University is a 5 minute drive. Baltimore City is a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic. You will need a car to get around for some shopping and dining, although the market, restaurant, Chinese takeout, cleaners, post office, salon, private pool with day pass and liquor store are only about a mile roundtrip; you can easily walk, if you enjoy doing so. Most walk the scenic, less traveled Railroad Ave., as the main road doesn’t have sidewalks. There will be beach towels and beach bag as well as a cooler if needed for guest use.
