Pervinca - Peaks Island Sat to Sat only in Summer

Charming Peaks cottage, Pervinca is an 8 min walk to ferry, 1 min walk to public beach- fantastic water views from kitchen & master bedroom. Perfect spot for a low key vacation, please note this is not a party house. Listen to the waves crash while lying in bed, or enjoy a coffee on your private deck off the master. Large open & bright family room. Front yard w Adirondack chairs. Off street parking. You won't want to leave! Perfect space for a couple or couple with well behaved/gentle kids only. Please no rough or rowdy play in the house. This is not the house for you if you are looking for a party house. Peaks is a great place to disconnect. The island has remained unspoiled and creates an atmosphere to enjoy the simple things again...... take a walk/run, ride a bike, search for shells, read a book or just relax. For your convenience, I provide bed sheets and linens, towels (bath, kitchen and beach towels), bath and hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, beach chairs, small charcoal grill, kitchen essentials for cooking, tea and coffee. The house is clean and well maintained. Please report any damage or issues immediately. Outdoor shower on side of house. The Fifth Maine Museum is next door and does host some small events which are typically more low key such as an art showing, pancake breakfast or harvest dinner, but they do sometimes host smaller weddings. Peaks Island is a magical place, it is like going back in time. A (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute ferry ride ( please see Casco Bay Lines Ferry schedule for times and fares) will take you into Portland which is a thriving small city that is very walkable with great food, coffee shops, boutiques, art galleries, bookstores and more. The best of both worlds! If you are flying into Portland, the ferry to Peaks Island is a quick cab or Uber drive away. If you are driving, you can take your vehicle on the ferry ( please see Casco Bay Lines Ferry schedule for times and fares) or park it in a garage/lot in Portland and just take the ferry to Peaks where you can easily walk to the cottage in less than 10 minutes. There are golf carts available for rent and also a bike rental shop on the island.
