Enjoy this compact studio with a cubby bed in the tall pines of Cobb Mtn. Perfect for quiet retreat. Private entry and deck designed with solitude, cool temps and comfort in mind. Space includes shower, refer/cooking options and window seat. Available for one person only. Tiny converted basement studio with cool concrete floors, twin sized futon in a small cubby space acts as a comfortable couch and bed for one . Single burner, microwave and toaster oven available for cooking. Refrigerator is conveniently located in wall. Piped in spring water for showering. NOTE: This is a lower unit, so movement from the upper unit can be detected. No tobacco/vapes/drugs/alcohol/ cats allowed on premises. Full studio access. Shared fenced yard. I work at home and can be available sometimes for interaction. I can definitely help with directions and activities in the area. I see clients in my home office and ask for quiet during the daytime. Quiet walkable neighborhood in the tall pines, dogwoods and maples. Resort like area. Golf courses, public swimming pools, and hiking just miles away. Sweet meandering walk leads to great overview of local valley. October, 2015: NOTE: We are in the Valley Fire area and while our neighborhood was barely touched, the surrounding area can be disheartening. We lost Boggs Forest and Harbin Hot Springs to the fire. Other hiking trails are in the area. Accessible by automobile. Chains or 4wd needed during snow. Sweet space for bird watching, meditating, etc. Wifi available. Poor cell phone reception and no land line. (Reception for most carriers will be good at the Cobb Village area where the coffee house and grocery store are located.) Yoga mat and straw mat available for guest use. No tobacco, vape, cannabis, drugs, alcohol or cats allowed on (Website hidden by Airbnb) candles or open flames. Quiet time at 10:00pm. Laundry facilities available for extra charge. Layered clothing recommended: Cobb Mountain is usually cooler than the surrounding low lying areas, but can sometimes be warmer depending on air currents, etc. The house is situated under tall pines, Douglas firs and cedars, which lends itself to cooler temps. Summer: The MOSQUITOES can be light or heavy depending on annual rainfall. I have natural oil repellents available and forbid the use of products containing DEET or other heavy chemicals. There is POISON OAK on the property. Summer: There is a resort across the way. Sounds can sometimes filter into space, particularly at high season. We live in an active geothermal area (one of the largest geothermal electricity producing regions on the planet!) that is prone to small earthquakes on occasion. Winter: Heat is available, guest slippers provided. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Fenced yard. Please no cats as birds are fed in the area. We are in a fire prone area and sometimes experience power outages.
