Sweet Butter and Cream Guestroom

The Sweet Butter and Cream Guestrom has an antique brass bed which sleeps two. It is furnished with antique furniture and beautiful antique floral prints on the walls. The Sweet Butter and Cream Guest Room is one of three bedrooms in a 1800 "Eyebrow Colonial" located in Columbia County NY which is nestled between the Hudson River and the Berkshires of MA. Enjoy the tranquility of two secluded acres surrounded by woods and fields with views of rolling hills and incredible sunsets. The grounds include an in ground swimming pool, pond, mature gardens and organic vegetable garden. The entire house is decorated with antiques and artwork. The Living Room has a wood burning fireplace. There is a Finnish Sauna adjacent to the Living Room. The house is located two hours from Manhattan, easily accessible from the Taconic State Parkway, It is equi distant between Hudson, NY and Great Barrington, MA where you can enjoy shopping and fine dining. Nearby cultural attractions include: Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Norman Rockwell Museum and Mass Moca to name a few. Spring , Summer and Fall outdoor activities include hiking the A.T., bicycling, fishing, birdwatching and golfing. Winter activities include skiing at nearby Catamount and Butternut Ski Resorts. Cross Country enthusiasts can enjoy skiing at beautiful Taconic State Park which is nearby. Enjoy a home cooked breakfast and/or dinner prepared with farm fresh ingredients at an additional charge. This is a pet friendly property. Pets are welcome. It is a multiple animal household. My home is not ideal for people with animal allergies. Finnish Sauna Wood burning fireplace In ground swimming pool ( Memorial Day - Columbus Day Weekend) I will be on premises off and on during your stay to take care of animals and/or prepare your meals. The dogs will be with me. The cats will in a separate wing of the house during your stay. I live in a remarkable place. There are many reasons why - the people, the history, the natural beauty and the abundance of wildlife. You will need a car (or bicycle) to get around.
