Our fun, eclectic and a bit rustic cabin in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains is available for guests with past positive reviews on Airbnb. It's perfect for a cozy romantic retreat or a family get-together. It blends rustic, funky and modern in a beautiful natural setting. We have a gourmet kitchen, a BBQ just off the kitchen and lots of space to hang out, even a family room up that doubles as a bedroom and a huge living room down, so lots of spaces for relaxing. The cabin is a 20-year labor of love. We are 6 college friends who pooled our resources to by a fixer-upper in the heart of our favorite place, the Sawtooth Mountains and Stanley, Idaho. You'll sense long weekends spent by not-so-skilled but enthusiastic craftsmen making this once almost-abandoned property into a comfortable and charming space. There are rooms that still need some work, we strive to make it comfortable, fun and clean, but it is a rustic cabin in the woods with hand me down furniture, fun and funky. If your looking for a designer luxury home, well, um.....I think you'll like it anyway. There are 4 bedrooms, one on the ground floor along with the kitchen, dining, living, laundry, and a bathroom. Upstairs has two more bedrooms, a second bathroom, and a family room that converts from TV room to bedroom with 4 beds. Two large decks downstairs and one on each end of the upstairs for enjoying the outdoors, 4 in total! The stairs are a bit steep. I'm almost always available via text and email. When we're not in Stanley we are in either Boise, Hope or traveling somewhere fun, but mostly available for questions. We are in the Iron Creek Subdivision about 3 miles out of Stanley (actually only 1 mile as the crow flies, but 1 mile on Hwy 21, 1 mile out Iron Creek Trailhead road, then 1 mile into the subdivision). The cabins are on 1 acre lots so we do have neighbors, but there are lots of trees for relative privacy, and it's a very friendly place. We do ask that no loud music be played outside and that people are respectful late at night. It takes about 10 minutes to drive into Stanley, 2 miles on dirt road, 1 mile on Hwy. Stanley has several restaurants but in the peak of the summer, you may need reservations. Redfish Lake and Lodge are about 20 minutes away and a day at the beach is not to be missed. The Lodge has live music on Sundays in the summer. Stunning Stanley Lake is about 25 minutes away, and the Salmon River through Stanley provides fishing opportunities. There are several natural hot springs in the area. The staircase is a bit steep and smooth wood, so we ask people to use caution. There is one ground floor bedroom with a queen-sized bed in case you have anyone with access issues.
