Clark's Grove Apartment in Covington GA

Located in the Clark's Grove neighborhood, our one-bedroom apartment is close to the Covington Square and Turner Lake Park. Large windows, an open kitchen and great room give the apartment, which is on the second floor of a mixed-use building, an urban feel in this quiet neighborhood. There is no elevator, but a well-lit stairway provides easy access to the second-floor apartment at the back of the building. The three-story building features a total of two upstairs apartments and Salon at the Grove downstairs. There's a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a full-size sleeper sofa in the great room, which also includes a dining table and desk. You'll find dishes, silverware, pots, and pans along with a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave oven in the kitchen, which also features a refrigerator, stove, and double sink - but no dishwasher or ice maker. There are towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom, and a hairdryer and iron tucked away in the bedroom closet. There's a television in the living room and another in the bedroom. Wifi and Roku TV are provided. No smoking is allowed inside the building. A shared washing machine and dryer are located in a room off the hallway that connects the two apartments. Guests have access to the shared patio area just outside the apartment building. Guests are also welcome to sit at the table and chairs outside our Live/Work Building Co. office located around the corner and across from the central neighborhood square. My husband and I built and own the building, but we live on our farm, about 10 minutes away. We own Live/Work Building Company and have an office in Clark's Grove, just around the corner from the apartment. The neighborhood has a park, community garden, walking/jogging trails, playgrounds, and sidewalks. Historic downtown Covington is just over a half mile east on Clark Street. There, you'll find casual and fine dining restaurants and bars as well as clothing and other stores. You may recognize the Covington historic courthouse if you've ever watched In the Heat of the Night. Also, Vampire Diaries was filmed in Covington (aka "Mystic Falls"), and a tour of several featured sites is available. Enjoy lunch or dinner at Mystic Grill. Covington also has an extensive historic district with some beautiful homes. Head west on the Clark Street sidewalks or bike lane to beautiful Turner Lake Park, which features a lake, playground and over three miles of woodland trails. There are also sidewalks that you can use to walk to a grocery store and more restaurants. The apartment is 0.9 miles from the Covington Square, 2.2 miles from Oxford College, 2.6 miles from the Porterdale Mill, and 7.7 miles from the Georgia International Horse Park. There is no public transportation in Covington, but Uber and taxis are available. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot outside the apartment.
