Mckenzie River Getaway - Modern Rustic UPPER CABIN

Located in the heart of McKenzie River recreation area. Private & tranquil riverfront cabin. This is the UPPER level cabin (private w/no shared connections) Vaulted living space w/woodstove & amazing river views from inside or the private upper deck outside. One comfy bedroom + cozy sleeping loft (w/2 twins) accessed by pullout ladder & another sofa bed in the Living Space. Just steps to the river. The Lower downstairs cabin is also available separately for larger groups. Only a mile to Tokatee. Refreshed with a NW rustic modern cabin vibe. The home has thousands of feet of river frontage on both the home side and across the river. You will not see any other homes! Very private. All the amenities you'll need to relax, refresh and recharge. The bedroom features a super comfy Tuft+Needle brand mattress! There are portable bedside fans and an additional heater also. You'll love the rushing river sounds just a few feet away. The river is beautiful, but it is NOT for swimming. Please be VERY careful, especially with small children. The cozy sleeping loft with 2 beds is accessed by a pullout ladder and has a fun "lookout" landing area to sit and room to play games. The ceilings are low up here, but it's comfortable. The living room looks out over the river with lots of windows you can open to hear the sounds or feel the breeze. The HD smart TV is setup for movies (Blue Sky Market rents DVD's!), and there's a retro Nintendo for video games. There's a sleeper sofa here for additional sleeping and extra blankets, pillows and sheets. There is also a record player. The woodstove works well, but plan on bringing wood or buying at the nearby store. The kitchen is stocked with lots of spices, salt/pepper, and other misc cooking basics. There is an oven/range, fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, blender, knife set, silverware, dishes, cups, mugs, wine glasses, bottle stoppers, crock pot and many other items for cooking a good meal. The bathroom with a tub/shower, features Public Goods amenities including body wash, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. These products are all healthy, sustainable, eco-friendly essentials. Made with essential oils and herbs w/out parabens and synthetics. The dining room has room for 6 and is perfect for late night card games. The upper deck features a private area with a small table and chairs and is the most amazingly beautiful place to relax and look down over the river. The Upper deck and patio space on the second floor is all yours. Please respect the guests below if the lower level cabin has guests. Please be respectful of parking, to allow for other guests should someone else be staying at the lower cabin. There is plenty of room for multiple cars. Amazing food, great selection of wine and beer and specialty snacks. Blue Sky Market is a one-stop shop for groceries, drinks, gas and nearly everything you may have forgotten for fishing, exploring, hiking, etc. Obsidian Grill has amazing food and outdoor eating. Takoda's is a perfect spot also. The Mckenzie River Trail is very close and is the gateway to hundreds of hikes or biking options. Tokatee is a must for golfers and just around the corner. Hoodoo is only 45 minutes away for skiing as well! Try explore the town of Sister's if you have extra time as well. 1 mile walk to Mckenzie General Store and Obsidian Grill. Drive to anywhere you need or a quick bike ride to the community stores, restaurants or coffee. The driveway is fairly steep and could be slippery in the ice or snow. Please consider this before driving down if you're unsure. Please be careful on the ladder which accesses the loft beds. No jumping or playing on the ladder. The loft is a fun space for kids and adults, but please be safe. Please also be considerate of the guests in the lower level as sound can travel through the floor to the level below.
