Come and Enjoy some time at Starry Night on Mercer Lake. Starry Night is a secluded vacation home on the shore of Mercer Lake, just north of Florence. The main house sleeps 10 and the guest house sleeps 4. Starry Night is perfect for large or small gatherings of friends and family, the views are stunning, wildlife is plentiful, and our private sandy beach and large floating dock give a great way to relax on the lake. Sit back and view geese, swans, ducks, bald eagles, cormorants, osprey, deer and otters or fish for perch, bass or trout. Bring your own boat, rent a fishing boat or party barge at the Mercer Lake Resort on the other side of the lake, or use our canoes and paddleboat. The lake has three launch ramps within minutes of the house. Relax on one of the three decks overlooking the lake to eat lunch or bar-b-que dinner while watching waterskiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, wakeboarding and tubing essentially in your backyard. The main Starry Night house is a charming 2000 square foot chalet-style lodge with a ton of character. It has massive open beam ceilings and a huge central fireplace. The living-dining-great room and open-design kitchen is a great place to gather for playing games, working puzzles or watching football. The house is secluded enough that cell coverage is marginal, but we provide 200+ channels of Dish HDTV, Netflix, and Wifi. While TV and internet is available, you'll likely want to spend more time at the lake or on the deck with picnic tables, lounges and adirondack chairs in the summer months. (Dish TV is shut off from October - April. The Starry Night house has two master bedrooms on the main floor, one with a king and one with a queen size bed. The adjoining deck has a large hot tub with fantastic lake views. The open 2nd story loft has a third bed (queen) that is separate from our loft library with reading chairs overlooking the great room with a fantastic view of Mercer Lake. The downstairs bunk room has a 50 TV, air hockey table and 4 beds. This is a great place for the kids. In the summer, we also setup one of the garage bays as a ping-pong room. Starry Night has two full bathrooms and an outdoor shower, enclosed for showering with a forest view or available to hose off muddy dogs or sandy feet with warm water. Over the garage you'll find the Lookout! This cozy second story suite overlooks the dock and has exceptional Mercer Lake views. It features 2 spacious bedrooms with queen beds, living room with electric fireplace, fully outfitted kitchenette and bath. Make your own coffee in the morning or walk across the shared deck to the main Starry Night house. Starry Night is off the beaten path on the shore of Mercer Lake. As you travel the last half-mile on a single-lane unpaved road you will pass other lake houses perched on the shore. If you miss the driveway, there is a large clearly marked turn around about a quarter mile further down the road. We recommend that boaters launch prior to arrival and approach the house from the lake. There is parking for 4-5 vehicles-empty trailers at the house.
