Our 3 bedroom cape cod style home on the beautiful waters edge of Lake John is one of a kind! Nestled in tall timber overlooking a panoramic view of the lake. Lake John is a 450 acre lake ideal for all kinds of water sports recreation as well as cruising the relaxing nature preserve that encompasses over a third of the lake. We purchased Edgewater in fall of 2013. We wanted certain things in a lake home and being right on the water was one of them. Our home is literally right on the waters edge giving way to spectacular views from every window or outside level. The creative architecture of edgewater lend way to a unique layout found no where else, from its circular staircases inside to its gigantic boulder foundation, give you the feeling of towering over the crystal clear water surrounding you. Check-in 3pm, check -out 11am. Guests will have access to a variety of fun things to do...in the warm months there is swimming, 2 kayaks, 3 SUPs, swim raft, beautiful walks, bike riding (5 or so bikes), paddleboat, bonfires and more...cold months there is snowshoeing, ice fishing, relaxing by the cozy brand new remote fireplace with a good book or movies in the lower level media room (choose from our vast DVD collection), we also have a variety of floaties, bean bag toss (bunk house), giant jenga (lower level), area for bonfires and more... As much as they would prefer, we will make sure everything is in tip top shape and ready for their stay. Guests will have our personal cell phones for anything they may have questions on or emergency situations of course...other than that the place is all yours! Easy to find and only an hour from the Twin Cities!  Located just 5 minutes from downtown Annandale. Known as "the heart of the lakes" Annandale is a quaint, fun and very friendly town surrounded by 30+ lakes! It has numerous shops, coffee house, restaurants, spas, bars, a great brewery, area attractions and even a bowling alley! There is also a lot to do in the surrounding area including one of the largest flea markets in the state, farmers markets, pioneer village, classic car museum, Powder Ridge ski area and snow tubing, Southbrooke golf course and more, all just 5 minutes from the house!...Annandale also boasts the biggest 4th of July celebration in the state, complete with a fair, music, street dances and of course fireworks. Our beautiful cove on the north side of the lake is peaceful and quiet, perfect get-away to relax. No public transportation, it a beautiful rural area and we are at the end of the road on a lake point with panoramic view of the lake. Our prime (june 1-sept 1) season offers all water activities of course, use of dock and all non-motorized water activities, bikes, including inflatables, yard games, etc found in the lakeside bunkhouse and on shore. Winter months the boat lift and dock are in stored on the banks of the yard and cover fire pit, etc, so there is limited use of the yard by the lake.
