A cozy, private room in a quiet family area, conveniently located to various types of transportation. Only 30 minutes away from Downtown Chicago by car, and close to many parks and small lakes. Guests will have access to everything in the room. Please make use of the microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker available to you. We will leave some coffee, tea, and sugar for your use as well. There are extra toothbrushes and toothpaste, as well as shampoo, body gel, and towels for your use. Guests can park in the back lot which should have many spots available for use. Please do not access any other parts of the house. Host lives in the house on the main and top floors. This room is in the basement and can be accessed by the stairs leading to it from the front door. Interaction is as little or as much as you'd like. We are just a text away. Very close to the highway (I-294) and 10-15 minutes away from O'Hare International Airport. 25-30 minutes away from Downtown Chicago. Metra station is 5 minutes away. To purchase a ticket, you can buy one in person at the station or purchase one via the Ventra app. The Metra runs on a distance-based fare system and ranges between $3.50-$10 per person. You can also purchase an Unlimited Pass for $8. 15 minutes away from Cumberland Station (Blue Line) where you can pay $5.00 to park your car and purchase a Ventra card to take the train downtown or to the surrounding neighborhoods. Train costs $2.25 every time you swipe it, and the Ventra card can be reloaded and used throughout the city to take the train or the bus (CTA). Once you swipe once, it's enough to take you straight to the Loop, where you can either get off there, or take another line.
