Habersham Mills Artist Space

Enjoy the unique renovated spaces at the historic Habersham Mills. On the lower level of the original office space, a team of architects have worked to repurpose this structure, next to the Soque River shoals, only 70 mins from Atlanta and Athens. DEAR GUESTS: WITH YOUR UTMOST SAFETY IN MIND, WE ARE TAKING EXTRA CARE TO DISINFECT FREQUENTLY TOUCHED SURFACES BETWEEN RESERVATIONS. WE WILL BE ADHERING TO THE CDC GUIDELINES OF ENSURING 24 HOURS BETWEEN GUESTS. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE 7 SEPARATE AIRBNB SPACES ON THE HABERSHAM MILLS PROPERTY (THE P.O., SHED, ARTIST, BARBER SHOP, AIRSTREAMS AND CABIN). THEREFORE, DURING YOUR STAY THERE MAY BE OTHER LODGERS USING THE COMMUNAL SPACES ALONG THE RIVER. HOWEVER, WITH THE SIZE OF THE PROPERTY, SOCIAL DISTANCING CAN BE EASILY ATTAINED AT ALL TIMES. Located on the lower level of the original free-standing office building which now houses three living units. Sunny space has a full-sized fridge in the kitchen, bedroom separated by a free-standing wall. A sleeper sofa is available for more than 2 guests. PLEASE NOTE: There is a $20 fee extra sheets for the sleeper sofa and extra towels for more than 2 guests - payable in check or cash upon arrival. Please be sure to let us know when making your reservation if you need the extra linens, and also if you'd like the bed to be made up before you arrive or if you'd the sheets be bagged up so you can use the sofa during the day. During your stay, you are welcome to explore the mill spaces on the site. You will have access to the Soque River. Kayaks are available to rent for $20 each per day. Please give us prior notice if you are interested and you may pay cash or check upon arrival. Fire pits are on-site and stocked for your use. There is also a screened porch next to the river for guests' use. Upon arrival, you will be provided with a map so you can explore the property. You can determine how much interaction you want to have with us, but someone is always available for assistance. Historic downtown Clarkesville has several good restaurants, thrift stores and antique shops. Piedmont College is very close by in Demorest. Winery tours are available in the area. Good hiking too. Parking is available all around the property. It is highly advisable that you have your own vehicle or rental. There are off-leash dogs on and around the property Please be aware that although the property is secluded it is located on a road with occasional neighborhood traffic.
