1950s Country Farmhouse - Relaxing Rural Retreat

Built in the 1950s, this house is full of the charm of the era. Hardwood floors and a cute, country kitchen give it an old-time feel, but it has had many updates to make it perfect for the modern guest. Located on a quiet country road, yet far from off the beaten path, it is just a quick drive away from Hutchinson, South Hutchinson, Yoder, & even Wichita! Come enjoy a slice of country life with quick, easy access to all the places you could want to go! The main floor of the house has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed. There is also a sliding barn door which can close off this room and the full bathroom to make a master suite. Or it can be left open to allow everyone access to the bathroom. The full basement has 3 additional bedrooms. One has 4 twin-sized beds (two are loft height, the other two are floor height). The other two have full-sized beds. All four bedrooms in the house are private rooms with a lock on the door. The basement also has a full bathroom. The main floor has a living/dining room with a TV. The basement has a large, cozy family room with a 50" flat screen smart TV. We have WiFi. The kitchen has a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with an icemaker, an electric range, a coffee maker stocked with coffee pods, a toaster, and a microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots & pans, etc. There is a laundry room with a washer, dryer, & fold-down ironing board. Detergent, dryer sheets, & an iron are provided. Both bathrooms have a full tub/shower, vanity, & toilet. Towels, soap, & shampoo are provided. This home is very kid-friendly with lots of outdoor space to play. We also have toys & games you are welcome to use. Outside, in the back yard you will find a firepit for either cooking or just hanging out! There is also a propane grill. The gravel driveway has ample room for parking right next to the house and there is plenty of room to park a trailer. The house is equipped with central heat & A/C. Self check-in with keypad at the front door. (Check-in is any time after 3pm.) There are weekly & monthly discounts. (Discounts are applied automatically when you choose the dates of your stay.) I am open to larger groups than the listed maximum depending on the circumstances. If you need accommodations for more people, please feel free to contact me so we can discuss it. We have taken great care to ensure that this house is your home away from home! Guests will have access to the entire home as well as the front and back yards, including the fire pit. Please note that my family also lives on this property. There are several outbuildings as well as our home; all of these are our personal buildings and do not go along with the rental of the house. I will be available by phone/text during your stay. I live on the property in another house so I will be nearby to offer you any assistance you might need. However, unless you need me I will stay out of your way. The house and yard will be yours to enjoy! We are just 15 minutes from Hutchinson, 5 minutes from South Hutchinson, & 30 minutes from Wichita. Also, the little town of Yoder is less than 2 miles away, with 2 restaurants and a small grocery store. Although we are out in the country, the town of Yoder is less than 2 miles away. It has two excellent locally-owned restaurants and a grocery store that has most essential items.
