Pleasantville is a quaint suburban town located just 35 miles north of NYC. Your private 1 bedroom apartment is a 1/2 mile walk to downtown Pleasantville where you will enjoy a variety of restaurants, bars, the Jacob Burns Film Center, Saturdays Farmer's Market, and the Metro North Train station (a quick 45 minute ride into Grand Central Station). Enjoy New York's great outdoors and gorgeous views while exploring Rockwood Hall and Rockefellar State Parks, less than a 10 minute drive away. We converted and renovated the basement of our 1922 Dutch Colonial Home into an apartment in 2016. Our family of 5 uses the 2 additional floors in the home as our living space. This lovely, bright apartment is fully equipped to meet your needs during your vacation or professional stay. Enjoy some coffee at The Black Cow, a quick slice at Luccios Pizzeria, a breakfast burrito at Sundance Deli or evening dining at Pub Street. Jacob Burns Movie Theater offers a wide variety of movies and the Farmer's Market makes for a fun Saturday stroll. Metro North Train Station is 1/2 mile walk from our location. Grand Central Station is a quick 45 minute ride. If you're driving, you'll find easy access to parkways and freeways. Please note: A family of 5 with 3 teenagers lives above this apartment. If you need complete quiet, this might not be the right fit for you. As much as we try not to disturb our guests, you will most likely hear noises here and there. We also have a friendly medium sized dog who stays on his side of the electric fence, but may bark with excitement if he sees you. If you don't like dogs, no worries, he won't cross his electric fence line. If you do like dogs, feel free to go to him and pet him :) No smoking allowed on the premises.
