Abajo is an ideal base from which to explore the more than a dozen State and National Parks, Forests, Monuments, and Recreation Areas in beautiful south-eastern Utah and near-by Colorado. On the southern edge of Monticello, it has a very private feel but is minutes from the conveniences of town and the # 1 Tee of the Hideout golf course. Hideout Ft. Abajo features a partial wrap-around covered deck with a hammock and BBQ Grill that looks out through junipers across the Hideout golf course to the Abajo Mountains. Laze in the porch hammock and watch the sun on the mountain slopes! The main level has a master king bedroom, a full bathroom with tub and walk-in shower, full kitchen, dining area, living room with gas fireplace, and large picture window with mountain view. On the lower level, there is an additional bedroom with 2 full beds, a family room with HDTV and DVD player, a wood-burning fireplace, futon, and twin mattresses, and a walkout patio. The cabin contains a guest library of field guides and books about the natural history and native cultures of the area. All linens, kitchen and dining requirements, and Internet are provided.
