Sandy River Cabin Retreat

The Sandy River Cabin is a lovely log home in a quiet neighborhood, nestled along the banks of the Sandy River on nearly half an acre, next to the Mt. Hood National Forest. We’ve combined all the comforts of home to redefine a relaxing Mt. Hood getaway. As we strive to cater to travelers who appreciate a space that is immaculate and feels like your own personal resort, great attention goes into the details so that our guests can relax and enjoy all that the Mt Hood area has to offer. The Sandy River Cabin is intended to be shared with others. It is a perfect home-base for friends and families who come to enjoy the outdoors or just unplug. The great room provides a gathering area to enjoy friends and family and can be extended onto the front deck with plenty of seating to expand your living area. Watch/stream your favorite movie on our UltraHiDefinition Roku TV with Dolby surround sound or listen to your favorite music on the network receiver in the great room. Stay warm and cozy in winter by the massive rock fireplace, the focal point of our great room. The open concept kitchen has everything you need to dine-in. You’ll find a double oven, microwave, blender, and all the pots and pans, dishes, utensils, knives, and glasses you’ll need. Flip pancakes on the electric griddle while you enjoy a fresh pot of tea or French press coffee. Gather your friends and family around the large dining table where you can enjoy a home-cooked meal and a blazing fire while creating life-long memories. Head upstairs for a game of pool, foosball, or cards in the loft area. You’ll find additional games in the living room armoire. Step outside onto the loft area balcony, sink into a comfortable Adirondack chair, and enjoy the sights and sounds while overlooking the flowing Sandy River. After a long day on the slopes or on the trails, snuggle into one of our comfortable beds with luxurious microfiber bedding, a heated blanket, lots of pillows and soft sheets for a great night’s sleep. The downstairs bedroom is ideal for a family with a queen log bed and twin bunk beds, plus you can walk out to the patio through the sliding glass doors. Enjoy a soak in the claw-foot tub in the downstairs bathroom. The master suite upstairs offers guests a comfortable, queen size bed layered with a cozy comforter, blankets, and soft sheets to sink into. A heated blanket will warm you on cold winter nights while you flip through our Roku streaming television channels or just listen to music. The dimmable ceiling lights can be controlled from the bed. There are also four USB connects per bedside. Additionally, the master suite has a cozy twin bed and an ensuite bathroom. Enjoy a nightcap or your morning coffee on a private river-viewing balcony with steps down to the river. For larger groups, there are two premium queen beds ready to sink into for a good night’s sleep in the loft area. As you walk out the back door you will be amazed by the relaxing the sound of the rushing Sandy River. With a beautiful forest along the banks of the Sandy river you can engage your senses in the sound of the river and smell of the forest while you relax in one of the Adirondack chairs along the river’s edge and enjoy the sights. Year-round, cook your favorite grilled meal on the gas BBQ under the covered patio and enjoy it with friends on the two picnic tables. The riverside fire pit provides another space to spend an evening reminiscing about your day while enjoying your favorite beverage. Rain or shine, we think it’s pretty amazing! Guests have access to the entire cabin. The owners will not be on the premises.
